You forgot to complain about their music, new math, and that damn ball in your yard. There’s a bad look here that has very little to do with jewelry placement.

A little self-righteous don’t you think?

You’ve paraphrased my reflection nicely, Bubba. Those poking fun at other folks better have thick skin themselves, don’t ya think?
(There’s another generational joke about kids-these-days needing safe spaces- but it’s a bit too early to read the room’s appetite for self deprecating humor; maybe I will trot it out for the later part of my set)
It struck me as hell-a funny that a culture originating with bikers sporting tattoos and piercings is populated now, in part, by an aging cohort imitating MC style while simultaneously mocking those young folks. If that ain’t worthy of ribbing, I don’t know what is!
Better than tattoos. At least you can remove them when you no longer want to be rebellious.:)
What comes around gos around......The generation before mine didn't like the way we dressed 'our hair cuts and our music........So they drafted most of us...And those are the people that created the new generation..:xzqxz:...

Go for broke. Unless you die young, you’re gonna experience one or both of those before your time is up.
Bubba
Tattoos have been around for years. Our Military came back from the wars with Tats, That also is when they got deeply involved with buying Harley's
Moving on in history the Tats stayed and became even more popular with the public
All of my family including my children have Tattoos and some kind of piercing be it ears or like my daughter had a belly button piercing, I in fact took her on her 16th birthday ( she is a Valentines day ) birthday girl for a Tattoo she picked out, it was a bonding day for us;)
This new generation IMO has taken the tats and piercings too far JMO
IE neck, face and hands tattoos and facial piercings
I don’t see a clear generational line so much as the wheel of culture turning, with the typical adoption across the age spectrum. By my reckoning, body modification peeked back in the first decade of the 2000s, with an uptick in sub-dermal object insertion, scarification, and stretching of skin to accept larger piercings.
You can tell them till you're blue in the face, but they will only listen as much as we did at their age. If Ida listened to the advice given me, I'd be worth a whole lot more than I am, but I wouldn't change a thing even if I could.
[SIZE=3]I still think tats are a fad. And as with most every other fad, they eventually die out. Never have cared for tats on women, but that's the woman's choice. Altho tats seem to be everywhere now, there once was a time when very few got them. Time will tell where they go from here.
