Took mine out in the rain to see how i would fair. One the way back I had no soft lowers or JESCustom deflectors. With them now on I stayed fairly dry. Water still rolled the windshield and blew into my face and the very bottom of my pants legs got wet. Major improvement. I think a full face is in order for the scooter in the rain though.
I have Jescustoms and they definitely work, but my experience is that my legs are warmer and the engine runs hotter.
I have now purchased and installed the DK ones and waiting for the snow to melt to try.
Some day maybe I am happy with DK:cool:
Looks great!!! can't wait to see them on the trike and hear how they work out.
Looking to do the same. Did they work ok?
Yes,it was. I used a Dremel w/cut-off disc to clearance the top of the fangs for turn signal clearance, then used some rubber trim for aesthetic reasons. Just haven't had the time to install them on our trike, yet.

John, this thread is three years old. You can buy JES fork mounted wind deflectors for the Freewheeler now from jescustomaccents.com. I have them and several other Freewheeler owners on this forum have them. They work. I also have the under-the-tank wind deflectors from DK Customs and they add more wind protection. Check them both out.

I know about the JES wind deflectors. I have the DK tank lift and cooling deflectors and those and the fairing help a lot. I also have a pair of HD fangs off of my geezer glide that are the same ones modified in the pic. Just wanted to know how well they worked before I started cutting on them. Thanks for the info.
