Re: VW Trike Insurance
Most companies wouldn't touch mine because it's titled as a "Specially Constructed Vehicle". Those that would, wanted my first born male child. I finally went with Farmer's, who already had my cars anyway. They came in at half what anybody else wanted, $370 a year for full coverage.
The only rub was, they required an appraisal from a builder and/or dealer. My local VW mechanic was more than happy to provide me with what I needed.

Yep, mine is titled as a 2012 and Progressive is the ONLY one that would insure and, as you stated, only liability.
However, it is only about $80 every 6 months. Probably due to the very short season in this area.

I had to have my trike inspected by Washington State Patrol for a VIN. They claim it as a 2016 Home Made Trike. Foremost was my best bet for insurance. Major Insurance companies did not want to cover or were way too expensive!

Wasn't that trike already titled when you got it?

Yes, But it was titled as a kit. I had it changed to "2016 home made" on the title and it was accepted for much better insurance coverage and cost.
