welcome aboard and that is a NICE trike. I bet that really moves when you want it to.
I have learned not to use much of first gear to reduce the incidences of wheelies. Second gear (2 speed Powerglide) handles 15 mph on up.
Very cool! You dont see many Corvair powered trikes. Looks almost like a Craig Vetter fairing....
It is a Vetter fairing I added on, sharp eye. The trike was built in California by a guy named Collins. I found it in NH.
Eehhh. I notice wheelie bars. I say go for it. But after the first thousand times, it probably gets boring. Really nice looking trike, though.
I think that I just bought a "COLLINS" built Trike at a charity auction in Virginia...Does anyone have any information on these california built trikes? The Trike that , I bought is powered by a corvair engine and powerglide transmission. also has blue metal flake painted fiberglass body....is there anyway to tell what year it was built? Thanks for the help Ford861
Welcome to trike talk...can't help you with Collins trike information myself but,
search around for corvair on this site, also you may post a similar question in the vw section as well.
those guys are very knowledgeable on all rear and mid engine trikes. larry

This will be interesting .... Just the sort of thing I'm working with .... does this trike have a Corvair Tranny .... since you said power glide I assume so ..... I'm looking for answers maybe you can provide ....
Since the Corvair motor rotates CCW your motor is mounted on the rear of the trans-axle …… I'll be checking in on what you may reply ….
Sorry bout that … double post …. Newbies ….. SSSHHHEEEEEsss
