heated hand grips
The 2 things that really cut down my winter riding are my cold hands and feet
I know its a little late for it now but I was thinking of installing heated hand grips before next winter.
The warmest ones i can find are 36 watts -- http://www.amazon.com/Heat-Demon-External-Motorcycle-210019RR/dp/B001AWRCJO
Anyone have any experience with these or any other good heaters - cant spend to much but the ones above are in my price range
I do not have normal hand grips. Basically my are a metal bar wrapped with some thin padding then a rubber bicycle wrap (see below)

I do have shield (very ugly ones) that block the wind but that is not enough

I'd go w/heated gloves and boot liners myself. I've had heated grips on 2 bikes and my palms are not what gets cold:Shrug:

+1 on the gloves, I was hesitant to get heated gloves as the beauty of heated grips is that you can keep your hands warm on a short trip and not have to worry about plugging in. My gloves (gerbing) have batteries that will heat the gloves for about 1.5 hours on a charge (rechargeable). This is perfect for the around town quick trips. ON long trips, I do plug in and not worry about running out of juice.
