Anybody add mirror extensions to theirs? I've been playing around with different positions but just can't seem to get a very clear view to the rear. Just wondering if the extensions are worth a try.

My buddy has a Sportster and a Heritage. Both are short on the mirrors. My Honda VTX came with short mirrors. I swapped out the mirrors with my Volusia before I sold it. I don't know why manufacturers do that. I would just find mirrors with longer arms. less to loosen up.

Yes and yes.
Kuryakyn makes a good looking set that get them out farther and Harley has the same mirrors with longer stems.

I put HD extensions on my Freeloader. They work great.
Thanks for the suggestions guy's; think I'm going to try the HD extensions.
I have them on my freewheeler and my sportster. They work awesome for me :)
Stock mirrors were pretty much useless. Got some rectangular mirrors and extensions from J&P Cycles. MUCH better without the distortion. I'm 6'5", about 255, so all I saw in the stock mirrors were my shoulders. Also, none of that "objects in mirror are closer than they appear because we're too stupid to make an accurate mirror."

They look a little goofy, but they work 200% better
Just put the cheap (29 bucks) 2 inch ones from the dealer on last week. Thought I might need the expensive ones that also go out two inches, but I don't. They look ok and work very well.
I run the factory Harley extended mirrors that look or are the same as the stock mirrors and I love them, they are in the catalog. These mirrors should have been on the Freewheeler trikes from the get go from the factory. You can see them in the pic they are a Big Big improvement stay adjusted and enable you to see around your shoulders nicely ThumbUp
