Trike > new to me!
Finally pulled the trigger & bought a Trike. 1995 GW/SE Hannigan conversion w/22500 miles. Couldn't pass it up. Sat for a while & needs some TLC. I'll pick it up next week. I'll probably be asking "newby" questions after I get it in my garage. Ron Florida:Dorag:

What a great way to get familiar with the new trike. Welcome to TT from your fellow Texas members!!!
My '06 was less then a week old when this happen. Just had to take it apart.... Was running wiring for all my LEDs. Haven't had it apart that far since but I have done my share of wrenching.... :xszpv::xszpv:

Look me up in November when its not in the 90s.........................
j/k
You cant be more then 15 minutes away in any direction.
Im off of Lake Ida Rd.
I had a 99 Valk so I know the engine fairly well and have a bunch of spare parts.
But at 22K its hardly broken in yet.
If you do give me a shout.

Everything sounds great - including the "modest" mileage. Converted my '95 at 46k - now has 58k and running like a top.
Best wishes - post some pics when available.
Have fun, post often, ride safe! ThumbUp

Re: Trike > new to me!
I bet you gonna be a happy boy!
life on a trike is different than a two wheeler.
Search through the forum and find a thread to the new trike owner, lots of very good tips that will keep you from discovering things the hard way.

Just brought her home, wow, trikes sure are a different breed. It'll take some getting used to. My 1st trip (home) was on I-95 & Florida T/P. Now I need a rest!
Thanks, Ron

Re: Trike > new to me!
That's a beautiful machine. I still have a soft spot for the 1500's. Owned three 1500 wings, never a problem with any of them. Still have my old Valkyrie trike, and probably will have it for some time.
Once you service that Wing and conversion, all you'll need, for some time, is gasoline!
Another welcome from Texas.

Re: Trike > new to me!
Wow! Looks like a beauty - love those 1500 two tone paint schemes. Take your time getting used to it. Couple hundred miles you'll get comfortable - couple thousand, you're almost an "expert". Best wishes... ThumbUp

Re: Trike > new to me!
You will get used to it pretty fast if ever stops raining.
I got mine off the truck had the driver pull it in my garage.
Spent 10 minutes looking it over then did a few laps around the complex and out the door I went.
Up and around Congress for a bit then hit I-95.
All within 30 minutes of getting it.
Never looked back never have had anything unexpected come up.
Except for one small issue coming home.
1st left turn in.
Didn't realize how wide the trike was and 1st scratch first ride on 1st day.
Oh well Ive banged a curb or 2 since then. Both sides.:p
