rally info
The official rally info is on the next post down from this one. If anyone has a problem downloading the pdf file please pm me. The owners should be around all week but I heard they had almost 40" of snow this week in the Catskills and were away this weekend. After this week they will be away for a few weeks but will be back around the first of April. Remember we have until May 1st to book the rooms exclusively for TT members and after that the rooms will be available for anyone that calls. Reservations can be cancelled if before 2 weeks and deposits will be returned. If you call to reserve a room and no answers, leave a message and/or send an e-mail to the resort.

The dates are set in stone for the 23rd through the 26th, I just need to get a newsletter of sorts put together with the details. Definitely bring your wife, even if she doesn't want to ride while there, this place has plenty to do all day long.
rally info
Good Morning Ronnie,
Sorry I hope I am not confusing you and other members too much, I just wanted to leave this thread for discussion or questions and leave the thread with the actual info as simple as possible.
'
If you back out to the main page for the trike rally and go to the thread directly below this one, it's named
NETT Rally sign up ASAP. I have a couple of posts, one is a pdf with all the info on the rally including the dates and where, and contact info as well as price. There is also another PDF that shows sample menus for that weekend. The next post below that one are direct links to a sign up sheet, the first one and then the second is a link to a excell sheet that will show who is going. The excell sheet is updated every time someone fills out a sign up sheet.
You need to call the hotel to make the reservations directly, the sign up sheet and exell sheet is for our purposes only so you can see who is going and how many.
The sign up sheet and excell sheet are linked directly to my Goggle Drive, you don't have to have an account with goggle to see this, anyone with the link address is able to see it. Last year I had a few issues and the pages were eliminated or modified by mistake but I have if figured out this year and no one can modify or make changes to either file.
By the way the dates are Aug 23 through the 26th, that is a Thursday through Sunday, it includes a breakfast buffet Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings, a 4 course dinner Thursday, Friday and Saturday, after dinner cordials, open bar on either Thursday or Friday night, whichever night works out best for a welcoming party, use of facility including pools, hot tubs, pool room, and much more. Discounted rate at a 18 hole golf course I believe is available for $89.00 per person per night. The meal only plan if someone wants to camp is $12.00 for the breakfast and $30.00 for the dinner. So if you figure $42.00 per person for meals that are included in the room rate, which you would easily spend for breakfast and lunch outside the facility, even the Miky D's down the road would cost almost if not more, it's not a bad deal. It has a nice bar and lounge for after riding drinks and entertainment after dinner most nights.
The owners were supposed to be there this week and then leaving for Florida for a few weeks. If you call and you get the answering machine, leave a message and also send them an e-mail to let them know your info. Last week they go hammered with heavy snow and the same today and tomorrow so weather may play a role in them being there until the end of the week. They will be back on site the first of April which gives us the month of April to make our reservations before they open up the rooms for another group.
Thanks and hope to see many of you there....
PS, if you are on this post, click on NETT Rally sign up ASAP here or above and it will take you to the thread. Just scroll down to the post with the PDF's and the sign up sheets. Sorry, there is still a lot I am learning about this site.

Raffle prizes
I am also trying to get some kind of ahead count for how many Raffle prizes I need to purchase. I'm not going to buy 14 if we only have 10 attending. I like to have enough so everyone gets a chance to win something. I'm working a grand prize as I did last year.

Dinners
Doug, is the included dinner all three nights, or only one of them (Thursday, Friday, Saturday)? And does listed package price include NY tax?
-
Hey Cheri,
How are you doing.....that is a good question, I asked about taxes and the owner mentioned it was just the normal sales tax for NY, there is no separate room tax. I don't know if it's included, I had set up for myself but he e-mailed it to my work e-mail so I can look tomorrow when i get to my office and see if he charged me tax or not.
The price is based on staying three days and if you are single in a room it is higher. If you can share a room, the price is the $89.00 pp. All rooms have at least 1 queen and one double bed.
Hope you are able to make it this year....

Ffoid
If you arrive Thurs there is a 1/2 happy hour and a meal . Then Fri you get breakfast and dinner .. On Sat you get Breakfast and dinner. And on Sun just breakfast. The way I understood it the $8 tax is not included in the $$$
night Time entertainment I believe is just Sat night .. Maybe Fri also not sure of that . Prices for mixed drinks is very reasonable. Almost club prices so I was told .
-
Correction John, dinner is served Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, 1/2 hour open bar on which ever night we choose for a welcoming party, entertainment both Friday and Saturday nights and breakfast on Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings....
-
I just remembered to check, the invoice added the tax which was $42.32 for Thursday through Sunday plus a $4.00 key deposit.
-
So $7.50 per person sales tax per day ..I edited my post to reflect the changes. .im surprised we have not seen any people added to the list. . This will be the 1st NETT RALLY with a social hour, entertainment, full meals ( restaurant / wedding type ) a full bar
$194 sound like a lot for a room for 2 people. Just consider this is. Breakfast ( not just a muffin and coffee , this is a real meal with 3 courses and 3 different choices each night. Think of it like going on a cruise with out the water.
This is one of the most Centeral location we have had. Most are under 125 miles the furthest is about 225 .

Here are all the links in one place.
The first one is the sign up sheet,
depending on your computer, you may have to save the pdf files before you can view them....
The second is a excel sheet showing who is going,
The third is the info page on the rally, date, location, pricing, contact info and web site and e-mail of resort
The fourth link is a sample menu to drool over....
Don't forget we have to book our rooms before May 1st and pay a $50.00 deposit but deposit is returned if the room is cancelled within 2 weeks of the rally. After May 1st the owner will book rooms to other individuals or families. If we book the entire resort, we will be able to have more choices and control over our stay there. A reminder that the owner is away until the end of March but you can leave a message on the resorts answering machine and/or send an e-mail and your room will be saved for you.
If anyone has a problem with the PDF versions I can send a doc. file (word) You may have to save the PDF file before you can view it. On my lap top I have to do that.

Ok, I just discussed this trip with wife, SHE IS NOT INTERESTED IN RIDING ALL THAT WAY.
Is there anyone one in the Springfield, Massachusetts "area" that would like to meet, and at least ride up with me, or maybe even share a room for the weekend?? (more cost effective/ and much safer riding with two people then riding all that way alone )
If I can ride up with another bike/trike, I will go!

Your welcome to meet up with us at some point. If you head south into Ct, we are on the northwest part of the state. Would your wife go if she could drive her car up that way, she could follow you or you follow her. As far as sharing a room, not sure who is going but maybe someone would.
If Cathy and Gary (seabiz) go this year, they usually ride up this way the day before and stay over in Litchfield, Ct and then we meet up in the morning.
If you got to Great Barrington via Rt 57 which is a two lane road it's less then an hour from there.

Wife not interested, in going, BUT if I can meet up with a few others, and ride in safety, Or like I said if anyone is going single, and would like to share a room (making it much cheaper 4 sure) that would be nice...Too ride all that way alone, and then once I get there, and still not know anyone, it would kinda suck! ( I did that a few years ago to another Rally, and I didn't know anyone, I kinda felt out of place, cause everybody was coupled up, and I was alone, it would be nice to ride with someone, making it a much safer ride, and then having a newly made friend(s) would totally make this Rally much better ... just saying!!!
coming from Springfield, Massachusetts

Doug,
Hopefully we can make this happen, Still hoping to share a room/ride up with (again "much cheaper"/also safer to ride that distance) plus it would give both of us someone to hang with.. :)

Maybe
Can you ride to Great Barrington?
I'm not sure if I am going with some one or not. ..
Also this is a real bunch of nice people. No clicks everyone is friendly. You won't be left alone.

O' yea, Great Barrington's is not too far from Springfield, I could do that w/o any problems....... John, I have no problem (riding) there for sure, I usually ride that way, just to take a ride, with/or W/O friends, But it's the ride all the way there, (Catskills) and then not know anyone once I'm there, kinda sucked for me......(and I'm a very "outgoing" kind of person, that's likes to mingle, and talk to people, and not just sit in a corner )
Ok Edit here: I just looked up Acra New York and it's only 1hr/54 mins. from my home, not as far as I honestly thought!! (cool beans).. John, love to meet and greet, that would be great, cause you know many people that would be there, and I could then meet others myself.... keep me posted, if possible!
