I have AllState also. At first they weren't thrilled about insuring my trike. But did with no real issues. Know several people with Progressive, for trike coverage.
my wife and i have our trikes insured with that little green lizzard ( Geico )
My bikes, Trike atv's and sideby are insurance with Foremost....ThumbUp
Curious minds wonder what is the reason your agent gave for not insuring the trike and what company is involved???
I've been w/State Farm for years.
My premium did not even go up when the conversion was added.
I was told the conversion is an accessory in the "eyes" of the company and to take pictures and keep receipts!
BTW, different rules apply in different states.
If Member of AARP, call their Insurance Services and ask for quote through Foremost.
Don't call Foremost direct or the Quote will be higher.
We have progresve insurance on wifes trike. They insure the trike kit as an assesory .

It will be higher if you don't call AARP and get Foremost through them....
Have seen Premiums as low as $277 per year on a $40k New GL Trike.

I have Geico.

I got mine from state farm and there was no problem but it may be state by state not sure...Virg49
In Florida, Progressive gave me full coverage on the trike same as if it was a 2 wheeler, under motorcycle classification.
I have AARP/FOREMOST. Around $230 a year.pepperpepperpepper
Foremost covered all but the deductible on a deer collision($5500), no increase in PREMIUM.;)
We have Allstate, reasonable cost here in Tx
I have Allstate. I had Progressive and had 3 vehicles on the same policy. I removed one vehicle and they increased my insurance cost higher than when I had 3 vehicles on it. Cancelled and got Allstate. It was cheaper than Progressive. Course like others have said, different states have different rules.

Sounds good to me !:)
I have trike ins now. My agent got it through foremost for $56.00 more than what I was paying.
Gieco in SC little less than 400.00 a year insured for 37K Trike plus 5K for my pull behind MC camper (Aspen Classic 2013)
Wow, you folks in the US don't know how lucky you are! Before I had my 2012 wing triked I was paying $800pa for full insurance - 1million liability, $1000 deductible, comp insurance. After triking, the lowest cost I could get for insurance, which I am now paying, is $1,700!!!!! Here in Ontario there are only 2 insurance companies that will do trike insurance now. Using the other one, I could have got the insurance down to $1,100 if I had switched over my home insurance and both cars to them - but they were higher on those items than I presently pay so I stayed where I was. Outrageous, but they have us over a barrel!
Ditto-was also the best pric..e when I shopped
Progressive trike at full value. Insured as a trike not as bike with trike attached. Insured with 2 wheelers (2) $645.00 total all 3 motorcycles.
Currently have Rider, they specialize in MC & Trikes.
I have State Farm for all my insurance needs. There was no problem insuring the trike with them.
also mediVac flight cost can be 25k for a 100 mi trip. and your normal 500.00 policy is what covers this, so ask what 50k or 100k would increase your cost.some places you can buy specific insurance for this. otherwise if you get into a accident& are lifelined to a throma center you will have to bear the cost.
Well, I had been with Foremost for little over 10 years with 2 different trikes insured through them. Traded my 2006 trike for a 2013 and they jacked my premium from 226 to 374. I decided it is almost time to renew again and also time to look for other insurance. Called Geico and got same coverage and was 199. Needless to say, I am now with the green lizard. trikerider
Geico here. good rates and good service.
a dog ran into me in may of 2013, hit my left rear fender, tried to miss him but could not.
$2500.00 damage and Geico lowered my rates at renewal time in August. they were excellent on service.
hard beat that.

I have used Rider Insurance forever. I pay $377/year for my trike.
Here in Ohio I signed up with Farmers Insurance this year. They have trike insurance that identifies your bike, the brand of trike and also covers a trailer if you have one. Mine cost me around $265.00 per year for $20K of coverage plus $4K for the trailer. So far, I'm happy with it.
I have Country Companies, no problem insuring the Trike.
Progressive with a $9000 accessory coverage to cover my trike conversion. 1993 Tour Glide Classic Ultra, 80" EVO, 36k original miles.

Same as driver10. Progressive with trike insured as accessory. I have not used the insurance but have used the included roadside assistance twice. Both times had a flat on the back of the trike pulling the Time Out camper. They sent out a truck to load us up and take us to a tire dealer and all was well (at no cost to me). Both times we were out of state and didn't have a clue where to go to get repairs. Oddly enough both times it was a broken valve stem on two different trikes. Hope I never have to use the insurance but the roadside service it great!!!
I've been with Foremost since I've had my motorcycle but when I got my new trike, the rates went sky high. So I went with Progressive for the first year of having the trike. Insured it as a bike but then had to add accessory coverage to cover the trike. I thought the rates were outrageous for a 57 year old with never having an accident.
My insurance is due in May so I've been pricing again. I've been quoted by Dairyland, Progressive, Geico and Foremost. For whatever reason, this year Foremost has them all beat by $200 so I'm getting ready to once again switch.
It pays to shop around. Even from year to year in my case.
$319 yr for basic PLPD or extra $480 for full coverage on my 85 1200 w a Lehman, thru Cooperators in Alberta .
Getting a a 2014 trike in a month. I got an insurance quote through progressive and it was just a little over 1,000.00 annually. I may talk to AAA and see what they can do. Saw someone say you can maybe get an annual payment at like 277. My quote is way off. Is little over 1,000.00 comparable for most?
