convertible top
I am looking for a place that i can find a convertible top for my gl1800 Trike. I've seen one on a 1500 years ago. Just wondering if anyone has seen one or knows were I might look? A man in Texas used to make them but don't were he is or still around anymore. Thanks in advance.:GL1800:

Re: convertible top
I also saw one years ago.
Snaped on the windsheild and had a frame for the back end.
Also had a large oval hole in the back to let the air out.

This is really interesting, as I've never even given a top a consideration. I can see benefits, but a couple of things put me off: first, the top looks like it belongs on a Model A; second, how well does the top handle freeway speeds?

Re: convertible top
I would guess that it's only for around town.
I'd bet that highway speeds would pull it apart in less the a mile.

That's what I was thinking, too!

Nope it handled very good on interstate. I rode on the one I was talking about when I went to pich up my frist 1500 in 88. And rode with him for years till he got out from riding but he can't remember the mans name only that he lived in Texas.

Re: convertible top
I've also seen them at Americade, I think the ones I saw were on a couple bikes from Quebec. I also remember seeing a woman in Saratoga Springs a few times, she also had her small dog riding with her.
