RECALL WARNING........
[COLOR=#1B1B1B][FONT=-apple-system-font]DETROIT (AP) — The company that makes Can-Am Ryker motorcycles is warning people not to ride some of them because a handlebar bolt can break, causing loss of steering and raising the risk of a crash. [/FONT][/COLOR]
[COLOR=#1B1B1B][FONT=-apple-system-font][URL="https://www.nhtsa.gov/press-releases/do-not-ride-recall-can-am-ryker-motorcycles"]The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration [/URL]put out a statement about the warning on Wednesday for certain 2022 motorcycles made by Bombardier Recreational Products. [/FONT][/COLOR]
[COLOR=#1B1B1B][FONT=-apple-system-font]The company is recalling over 9,300 of the three-wheeled Rykers. In documents filed with the agency, [/FONT][/COLOR]
[COLOR=#1B1B1B][FONT=-apple-system-font]Bombardier reported that it had two reports of stem bolts that broke while the cycles were being ridden. [/FONT][/COLOR]
[COLOR=#1B1B1B][FONT=-apple-system-font]The company is recommending that the motorcycles be parked until repairs are made.[/FONT][/COLOR]

It's really worse than the announcement above! There, so far, have been 2 bolts broken by riders when they were riding. In addition, there were 2 others broken on bikes in "unknown" circumstances and another 56 bolts broken on bikes being prep'd by dealers. So that's a total of 60 known broken steering bolts. Out of 9,300 2022 Rikers, 1 in every 155 (so far) have had steering bolts break. NOT GOOD! If I owned a 2022 Ryker, I would not ride it..... Jim
