Are two the same as one?

I have heard that Champion and Lehman companies are now the same company. Is this true, and if so, have they changed their name and product lines.

Yes they are now owned by the same parent company but they are still operating independently as separate products.

Champion bought Lehman in 2012. Between 2012 and the 2015 closing of the Spearfish Facility, Champion shared components were finding their way onto Lehman built Trikes. The later Lehman models have Champion rear axles or Independent Suspension and brakes. The body support structure and the bodies themselves are a Lehman design built by Champion.

If you buy a Lehman today it has a Champion running gear. The difference is the body design and body accessories. Gone are the days when you had a booklet full of optional accessories to dress your Lehman appropriately.

Lehman Warranties on models 3 years and older have also expired and most of those units were built prior to Champion's direct involvement.

There is no longer any factory support for the older Lehman Trike units out in service currently and since none of the new Champion components will interchange with the previous Lehman product, there is very little that a customer to do. The only saving grace is that there is very small failure rate on the over 20,000 pure Lehman Trikes on the road today.

There are secondary markets for specific items if you know where to look.

I for one, [B]certainly hope they become collector items[/B] .... worth mucho high dollars even .... because they are nicer looking than an Edsel! :D
