G'day from Aussie
G'day all
Been lurking for a little while and finally joined up today. I have a '98 GL1500 Motortrike which I purchased last November. Traded in my BMW K1200LT on her and haven't looked back. I needed to go for a trike due to nearly ending up in a wheel chair permanently a couple of years ago and the legs are still a little bit dodgy. My beautiful wife Mrs Dog has rheumatoid arthritis so bailing out on a 2 wheeler was no longer an option for both of us. The trike is a nice stable platform and we both enjoy riding it.
We just returned from a 10000km journey across Australia, travelling to Western Australia from NSW on the east coast. Took 30 days to complete and had a ball. The Wing did not miss a beat, what a great machine! Just need to get comfortable with the different riding style.
Here's some piccies of the beast (bike not wife :D)

Re: G'day from Aussie
Thanks everyone for the welcome. The trike is a definite keeper for Mrs Dog and myself. Comfort, looks and power, what more could I want? Better range out of the fuel tank for starters, lucky to get over 200kms out of a 23 litre tank when towing the trailer and travelling +100kmh on normal UL fuel. Must get auxiliary fuel tank made (handy being a boilermaker / welder sometimes hey).
Still, the trike is growing on me and I look forward to a long and happy ownership of it. Mrs Dog and I are starting to plan some looonnnngggg trips around this great brown land of ours.
