Military base hotels
In reading the latest issue of Navy Times on line I came across a hotel chain on Army bases that can be used by military retirees. This may help some of you in your travels. https://www.ihg.com/armyhotels/hotels/us/en/reservation I don't know what you'd have to do to use these hotels and if its worth the hassle. I wanted to share this in case anyone is interested.

Limited Locations, but, really decent rates.

I have used base housing many times. Retirees may not be able to make reservations and get in on space available. Rules are the issue, no weapons, high vis clothing, and full safety are the rules.

Might be good for some. I can't stay there! Even as a LEO, I was not allowed to carry a weapon on any military post. Go figure. Trained on several different weapons by the Army but, not allowed to carry on base. Go figure!
Reminds me of being sent to the Chicago area during the 1968 Democratic Convention. Facing rioters with unloaded weapons. Really!!!!!!!!!!
