redline shockproof
getting ready to change out the fluids on the trike i just got it's a 99 fatboy lehman conversion with a s&s 111 in it i have a question on trans lube .i'm looking at redline sny shockproof gear lubes i see that they make a lightweight and a heavy weight lube which one should i use ? before on my old shovelhead 4 speeds i would use lucas 90w mixed with 25% lucas hd oil stabiliser.that combo made shifting and finding neutral easy. thanks

Get the heavy with shockproof;)

Redline heavy shockproof or the Redline v-twin trans fluid (which is the same thing) are great. Used it for years in my tranny and would not entertain anything else.

See this link, you will see the difference between the light ( for Sportsters ) and the heavy, for Big Twins

Another vote for the heavy Redline with shockproof.
