This pic is from 1972 of the first 'bolt on' trike I built from my '58 Panhead . Wasn't sure I wanted a trike so .......
I used a HD drum brake rear end ,wheel adapters (front spindles and drums) were from late 60's early 70's Dodge that I welded up to the original wire wheels( after a lot of trimming to make things fit) . Used the original swingarm and fender rails , original foot clutch from HD . Had a jockey shift . The front end was either 8" or 10" over ( I knew a local manufacturer that made fork tubes so I got a lot of free stuff) , 13" wide tires at the rear Took me 3-4 months for the build . I guess you would have called it a chopper trike at the time . Even with the raised front end it handled pretty good ,no wobble or shake at freeway speed . Besides this I ended up building 2 Sportster trike done the same way .. I don't recall any other bolt on's around when I built these .
I like it Lance, old school all the way around, very cool.
I bought the '58 Panhead in the summer of '70 for $150.00 . The only thing I needed to do was to change the oil and put some gas in it and change the plugs . It was in good mechanical shape . Rode it for a little over a year before starting the conversion .
:goodjob: Lance.

I think you’re right about the Motor Trike kit, I had a Goldwing with a kit that looked just like that and it was Motor Trike. Nice looking trike by the way!
