Not sure which Champion kit you're referring to, but I have the RoadSmith kit on my 2012 Ultra and so far its been great!! Others riding behind us always comment on how smooth it seems to ride. Had to cam up my 103cu to get a little more low-end grunt for 2 up riding, but otherwise I love it! I went with an S&S cam they have specifically for trikes.

Jack, is that West Peabody in Mass.? That's where I'm from.
I have a 2009 Harley FLHTCU that I did a Champion trike conversion on back in 2018. It has the independent rear suspension. Only issue I've had is one of the shock absorbers went south about a year ago. Other than that, it's been a good unit.
