Re: HeimJoint adjustments
This must be a Motortrike!
Just my 2 cents worth but I would look and see what else has worn out or broke or come loose that you have not discovered yet.
Post some close up pictures of it and let me see what we are looking at...

Re: HeimJoint adjustments
:confused:Yep,a MotorTrike! The left lower Hiem joint(on the ladderbars) is out 3 times the distance of the right lower joint. That worries me.And the trike leans to the left if I adjust them equally.I like the MotorTrike, but it would be nice to get the geometry correct.I don't know what to photograph!! The thing LOOKS fine. jimsjinx
Re: HeimJoint adjustments
:)Well, I finally got the vibration fixed.U-Joints were 90 degrees out of alignment.Rotated the splines +1 tooth, and viola!!jimsjinx

George Patrick from North Texas (member Kj5ix) created the GL-1800 MOTORTRIKE installation and service manual. It is posted in the forum below. Its a very fine manual and pretty much the same specs as far as the ladder bar adjustments and Hiem joint adjustments. And yes on the drive shaft spline alignment. It has to be right on or the vibration will be there. Thats an easy fix though.

Is there an updated working link for this manual? I tried the original, it too does not work. Hoping it will help with a right turn rear-end wobble. Can't seem to get the adjustments perfect.
New member, just learning my way around.
Thanks for your help.
