USAA
I know there are a lot of x-military and retired military out there. So if U did not join USAA while in U can check and see if U can join now. They have just expanded their membership rules.
No I do not work for them just a happy customer.

Another happy USAA customer here.
BUT, we did find that we could insure our motorcycles at a much lower rate with Progressive. Still have pretty much everything else we own insured with USAA, though--house, cars, collectibles, etc.

USAA, according to them, doesn't offer 'cycle insurance but switches you over to a USAA rep at Progressive. We also have the cars and house w/USAA and are very happy. I did switch 'cycle insurance this year from Progressive to GEICO based on cost.

I didn't know that about USAA and mc insurance! So GEICO's better than Progressive? Might have to check that out.
We do love USAA's claims service, though. And we still love it after two hurricane claims.

Juju, they have a agreement with Formost for motorcycle insurance. Sure reduced my bill for the trike. I kinda like staying with the companies that I trust. We also have our home and trucks with USAA,

Same here, Katfish. But we spent last week comparing quotes and decided to keep our trike/bike insurance with Progressive. The USAA via Progressive rate was higher!

Re: Usaa
Hello,
As a former COASTGUARDSMAN west coast,I used you as a reference but USAA is only insuring retirees and officers.Although,I'm handsome and assisted LT.Commander Hoffmeister when he appeared on the Sea hunt tv series, they turned me down. But good idea.

I feel that Geico is the best way to go with Trike Insurance. Check them out and you will be glad you did.

Hey, you might want to try out Geico. I am with USAA and agree that they are too high. I insure my truck and jeep with them because they are reasonable in that area. Besides, I have been with them for 30o years. However, when I check the price it would cost me to insure our trike. It was 4 times the price I could get if I went with Geico, and it's the same amount of coverage. Geico, might be worth you looking into.

Re: Usaa
Hi Everyone - I also found that GEICO was very reasonable.
Also, I was rear ended just a few weeks ago and GEICO took over with the other insurance company and got things done quick! They were an absolute pleasure to deal with.
I would recommend them HIGHLY!!

Re: Usaa
Yes but USAA bike insurance is through Progressive, USAA doesn't have bike insurance.
-
Re: Usaa
My USAA is through (Formost). on my trike...
-
Re: Usaa
shop around, USAA is one of the highest price, next to Foremost, don't believe every one's adds!

Re: Usaa

Re: Usaa
I have been with USAA for 41 years and they are the best insurance you can get in my opinion EXCEPT for mc or trike insurance. They do not write mc/trike insurance themselves but have a ' deal ' with the little green lizard people and they are very expensive for mc's and trikes. They really do not know how to value a trike so they are way out of the ball park. My best rate ( 1/3 of what most companies wanted ) was through a local broker that got me insured through Allied Ins. Best deal by far and I have had insurance with many companies over the last 45 years.
