Road Zeppalin Seat
Santa was nice enough to leave me a new seat for my triglide. Yesterday I installed it on the bike and tried to inflate it and all I got was about half a second of groan from the compressor. Today I called the dealer where it was purchased and was told that there was known problems with some of the seats and to talk to my local dealer for warranty work. I have to take the trike to the dealer so they can verify the wiring is correct and troubleshoot why the compressor does not work.

Dealer will have to send back to mfg for repair. Hopefully the dealer will just replace it since you just got it. You still have the OEM seat, right....just in case?
What year TG do you have? Do you have the adaptor cable for it?
Just saw that you have a 17. So I believe you will need the adaptor cable. I did on my 14TG

Adapter???
Rmitchell55, in the thread you started in here on 12/12/18 you asked for help on the wiring adapter for accessories for your trike. Several people offered replies and I posted a link to a video to help you. You never did post back about getting your adapter installed. So, did you get it installed? I am not positive (I have a 16 TGU) but I think you have to install the adapter to get connected to the aux power connector. I don't think the cable on the seat is long enough to reach without the adapter cable. I bought a Zeppelin seat in 2016 from a local dealer that had them on sale for $250.00 off the regular price. I had to carry that one back two days later.......the pump didn't work. The dealer didn't say a word, walked in the back and came out with another one. The last one has worked fine since then. These seats are priced entirely too high (as is all HD stuff) and from what I have seen and heard they have a lot of trouble with them. Seems they either don't work at all, or last a good while.
Anyway, you said the pump kinda grunted one time and quit? I would check all the connections and the fuse panel? The 17 and 18 models make it harder to add the adapter cable than the 14-16's. Make sure it is wired correctly. Good Luck. Your local dealer can plug it up in the shop quickly and tell if the pump is broke or not.

The wiring adapter is installed and I have the wire connected to the battery. (Doesn't need to be connected to the battery for the seat to work.) Talked to the dealer yesterday and they want to verify that everything is connected properly and will test the seat before they will warranty it. I have power to the plug for the seat. I will be taking it in tomorrow morning. I purchased the seat from a dealer in Salt Lake City and was told by the sales person at that dealership that the compressor in those seats are a known problem. Some work and some don't.
