not sure what happened
what will you take for the ural?
pm or sbgo1988@gmail.com
They can't sell the ural. It was a gift from a fellow vet who was dieing from cancer. Donny was fighting it too, at the time. He beat it, the vet did not, sadly.
It's a very special bike and we're all going to fix it in the spring. It's my next project for Donny n Barb! Very special people!

Donny found a sidecar!!
OMG! I'm so excited. It's a Champion Daytona 2 seater with Bembo brakes and electric tilt (whatever those are lol!). It was hit in the back n has fiberglass damage, but my bf can fix it!
Now we need the sidecar mount thingies for a 97 GL1500. Oh and 2 upper struts.
What'cha got in that ol toolbox fellas!? :p

stacebg or DMC may be of some helps with correct mounts. Something that must be done right.
The electric part is an electric camber control an option that is very nice to have . Even more so on larger rigs.

Yah, I'm talkin with Jay from DMC right now as a matter of fact! Great minds think alike. He's been very patient and sweet.
The mount & parts we need r gonna cost a grand or so, and our little group is completely tapped out from paying for Haulbikes to bring the bike from AZ up to upstate NY, so I'm seeing some more bake sales in our horizon. (Everyone in town has gained 5lbs in brownies alone!)
So, we're looking for used that my bf can recondition.

As I said before mount parts are not cheap. Cheap does not work with a sidecar. Jay at DMC is as good as it gets and stands behind their work. To get the correct bolt on mounting parts $1,000 would be a good deal. Have a fund raise and do it right. I know a thing or two about sidecars.
If you were closer I would gladly get involved. Retired Army.

Well, then thank you for your service Smitty! And yes, we're warming up th ovens!

I have used this supplier for linkage in the past.
You will need frame clamps specific for your frame size.
They have heim joints and links.
I like the hexagonal links rather than the tubular links.

Keep us informed how the project is doing. Something like this is a journey. It will be filled with twists and turns.

i think Donny said all we need are 2 braces n a couple hime joints. Jay @ DMC said ural braces will work just fine. He also said it takes 5/8ths hime joints n he maybe has a couple!!

Here's what the sidecar owner has for us. The bent pipe thingy has already been straightened. The curved 1 with the 45 deg brace he said he modified, so we'll either hav to fix it or replace it. (Is that part of the sidecar or the mounting kit?)

Those parts may come in handy. They will need to be adapted to the current setup. Mounting the rig right is a science and an art. There are some rules but they must be viewed in the over all mount.
