Revisit Fuel Milage
2013 CCT w/ CSC
I see that it has been several years since this subject was discussed.
I need some idea's. Rode to Tucson yesterday (solo) 345 miles and checked my milage. Seems to be around 19 mpg. Most of the trip is on the Interstate and running at 75 mph. My better half was riding her Spyder, doesn't like to stop when my Lo Fuel light comes on at 100 miles. Anyone know how to get the milage up? (without slowing way down). I don't like it when I get pushed from the other traffic.
Thanks
Phil

It has always been low. This is the first time I've run far enought to go thru several tanks.

My Vegas got 45mpg before I triked it, now it gets 40mpg.

Wow, Phil, that is crappy mileage. My XCT gets 42mpg. I’m going to check it after my trike is done. I’ll let you know.

Anything else odd happening? Maybe dragging brake, fuel leak, rough running, power loss, bearing noises, parachute deployed (sorry, couldn't resist). I'm guessing something is way out of wack. Maybe a trip back to the builder is in order.

When comparing mpg of trikes to motorcycles, there is usually quite a drop in mpg. Your drop seems excessive! I would suggest putting the trike on a Dino. Sometimes just a slight tune can make a big difference in how your Victory runs.

I had the bike put on a exhaust / gas analizer. No problems were found.
I did slow down a bit on my way home. At 65 or below my instant mileage guage shows 35 to 40mpg and the avg is
is in the same range. I'm going to run it for awhile and not push the limits.
See what happens.
Thanks for all your help and input.

I won't take too much stock in the instant mileage readings, They are there just for your amusement....'''

Mileage sux
Well, after three tank fills, I’m disappointed to report that my mileage is 28-30 per gal. I removed the tank and looked for any evidence of a leak and found none. My next step will be to pull the Power Commander V and the Lloydz adjustable timing wheel, then experiment with the Supertrapp discs in the mufflers. Wish me luck.
