If you can swing it, I'd go to a large on the egg, heck I have a large and wished I would have gotten an XL. When your setting things up make sure you place things so when your cooking everything flows with the way you cook. Make sure you share lots of pictures.
I am a big fan of Vermont Castings for grills. Current one is 15 years old and still going strong. I use it 2-5 times a week in the not bitter cold months ( 2 plus bottles of propane each year).
Countertop. Stainless Steel or finished concrete. Both hold up extremely well.

Get that set up right Fred, we'll be there in January to check it out :D:D
Well Big Dog, your in Florida, so you need to build a Tiki-Hut on the deck.:pepper::pepper::pepper:
I'm leaning towards the concrete counter, and yes Bruce it will be ready for next year's "SnowBird Showdown!!" It might not be big enough, but that's a minor problem.....the rowdy one's can be in the house:Dorag: !
Sully, I didn't get the Tiki-roof approved by the association board. It might be a problem, how about some neon Harley signs instead and maybe some Jimmy Buffet tunes?
