SUN CITY WEST. ARIZONA
Just sitting here with my coffee and thinking about my Harley. Also messaging a guy on here on New Harley's he wants to buy. So anyone on here thinking about getting a NEW TRIKE when the 17's come out ? I know I'm more then happy with my 14 Tri Glide and have NO plans on getting a new one. Plus they might be closer to 40 K when they come out this yr. And also what can they change on them except the colors ? Just thinking over coffee here in Sun City west , Az:Coffee:

So I'm not the only one who thinks over a cup of joe.ThumbUp

Satisfied with our '12 Tri, but for the life of me I wonder when/if Harley will start to put the 110's in the Tri??

We are pulling more weight and can load more "stuff" for our lovely brides to take (and not use)

I agree 100% with you Dawg. I asked that same question when I picked up my 14. Same answer I don'r know ! :AGGHH:

CVO Tri this year?

1st time in my life I spent 30K on a motorcycle not that i'm not really happy with it. I'am and really like the ride and the looks. BUT Fuzzy I don't think a whole lot of us could afford a CVO ! They would mo$t likely be around $45k. I bought my 1st brand New Harley back in 88 co$t me $ 10, 350 out the door and we've had 8 of them thru out the yrs so far. I don't think I could talk my wife into that at all. The trike was her idea and its a long story. But she started calling dealerships out here asking for prices while I was driving one day. 2 days later I was the proud owner ! CVO NO WAY IN HELL ! BUT At least a 110.

I have never rode a tri glide.I had a 2010 ultr limited for a couple of years.I liked the bike but it was geared high and the 103 just did not have enough to handle my trailer at interstate speed. It done well on 2 lane roads and I liked a lot of things on the bike better than the wing.Is the tri glide geared better for the heavier trike? I can understand the need for the 110.

I ride solo and don't pack much so the 103 in the Free is plenty, don't need a 110. However, to make it interesting, how many of you would think twice if Harley put independent rear suspension on the '17?

I agree, even 2 up my 103 did just fine.My cousin has a 14, and It seems to do a good job pulling his bunkhouse camper..It has the water cooled heads.I think they increased the HP on them.

I was thinking about this myself, just yesterday.

I am completely happy with my '14. HD would have to make some major changes for me to move out of the '14 to a newer model.

A 110 would not be anywhere near enough. I have plenty of power with my 103 with a Performance Plus Stage I.

I don't know what they could do that would take me out of the '14. But I did not know what they could do that would take me out of the '11 I had.

The infotainment was a pretty major change, as was the Twin-Cool, and the front forks. But none of those was enough to move me...but combined with the dealer giving me just a few thousand $ less than what I paid for the 2011 new (after it had over 50K miles on it), that is what pushed me over the edge.

In the meantime, I need to get my extended warranty in place on the '14...factor expires in 2 months, so I have less than a month to get it done.

I would definitely test ride one. But it would have to be MUCH better. I would have to absorb the bumps better, it would have to handle just as well in a twisties and curves. Plus, the dealer would have to make me another sweet deal.

Between the Comfort lift and the MacAir I have my '14 rear suspension riding pretty nicely.

The 103 I had was hot for sure. I took the catalytic converter off and had V and H true duals. That helped a lot, with the heat. I would think the water cooled heads would also help, but I have not been on one to see the difference. The 103 I had was just 74 HP,I heard someone say after the water cooled heads ,the Hp was raised to over 90 .That would make a big difference .

I would look seriously at a CVO TRI with a factory 120 ST in it. If that does not come to be then my custom 2013 TRI will be my love for another year.

103's hot? Pffft, ride a Boss Hoss w/502 here in the North Texas Summer and get back to me.:laugh:
Our 2011 w/103 is mild by comparison.

Just me... I'm long past the newer'bigger is better stage i'll just keep my 11 till i wear it out... Or in-till i wear out...;)

RHINO : I'm with you on that. Every winter I would do something to make my bike faster. Cam's Head work, pipes , back when we had carbs always playing with them to make it faster. Their 3 of us that ran around together that always palyed that for a # of years. NOW as long as it sounds good and looks good ! ALL IS WELL ThumbUp

I agree 100%. Over the years I have spent a fortune on performance upgrades to my bikes, plus bling. The 103 in the Freewheeler has enough power for me in stock configuration. So far it is still totally stock, even the exhaust after 10,000 + miles. I may eventually de-cat and do a Stage I but that mostly likely will be the limit. I just enjoy riding now.

So far only put on a shorter windshield, A lift kit for the back of the trike, Only other things is the tour pak lift. That's where it make it level and plus you can clean under it also. That should happen as soon as some MORE of my wife's remodeling is finished :xzqxz:.. That's the last re model for this yr for her. NEXT is painting my garage the colors I want !
