Harley Davidson suspends production/delivery of the Livewire

Too many non motorcycle riding executives making poor decisions at the top @ HD.

Where the hell is/was Willie-G when they needed him???:p:p

All true, who makes these foolish decisions, HD must have money to burn, and they do. This is so outside the box for HD. What they have is something they can put in the HD history building. Trying not to beat up on Harley, maybe I'm just not very smart and I don't understand it.

They are grasping at straws right now.....There putting too much time and $Money$ into stuff thats out of their wheelhouse.....Instead they are rushing out product before its ready, Then what the hey, We'll just let the buyers do the research and development for us on their dime...

The MoCo today stated that it was a level 1 charging issue, which is the low voltage charging that you do at home for 10-12 hours.

The dealers have level 2 charging, which will give it an 80% charge in 1 hour.

If I had purchased a $30,000 motorcycle & couldn't use it, after crying & screaming, I would be calling a lawyer.

Who in their right mind would shut down a production line after discovering a problem with a single bike.

Your right Jack, this whole thing doesn't pass the smell test.

It is funny in a way, back before AMF owned HD it was common practice to ship bikes with known problems and let the dealers worry about the bikes

Prior to that HD had an internal shop off the assembly line nick named Harley Hospital:p

That was SOP For the car company's all though the 50'-60's and the 70's till the Japanese broke into the US Car market..It was called a Present For the Dealer........
