My Indian had those Wheels on it when I bought, I measured them up went on ebay bought a set of what I think are really nice black wheels $ 250. with free shipping I mounted and Ballance them my self, look at my pictures in the Indian section. My paint was awful from the factory the dealer I bought mine from paid me to repaint it, It was good to take it apart over the winter and check out how it was put together ,went over and retorqued all the bolts everything was good. Hope you enjoy your new Ride.

Thanks all - yes, we are very excited to have this completed.

We ordered a front fender light and the black fender trim for that light. This is already here, and we will get it installed as soon as we can get the trike to the dealership.

We also have the XM kit that is being installed. Wife and I are still up in the air about the CB radio - we have the Cardo PackTak Bold and can connect with folks that are wireless. Lots of folks in our HOG Chapter and our GWRRA Chapter use the CB.

We have two sets of helmets, one wireless and the other wired. For us to use the CB, we would have to use the wired headset. So, we will sort of think about it for a little while

Trike Is Home

OK, for those of you that read my earlier post, my trike was delivered to me on May 5th. There was a problem in that the clutch was slipping - was not properly adjusted.

Well, working with my installer and CSC - they took the trike to my local dealership and told them to do whatever was needed.

The dealership was really backed up - and, my trike is finally done. Seems like it is pulling the way it is supposed to and for the first time, I put about 20 miles on it. Going to rain on Friday but, Sat-Sun-Mon and Tue are suppose to be really nice. I'll probably take a few short trips to make sure all is done properly.

In addition, I had the oil changed and an XM radio installed. All is sounding well.

Thanks -and I want to share - CSC and the installer really and truly stepped up. I send the a copy of the bill today and understand a check is already on the way.

Good news for sure, what did they end up replacing in the clutch?

Good news for sure, what did they end up replacing in the clutch?

Good news - actually great news.

For the clutch, they replaced everything - an entirely new clutch basket. The service manager explained that the clutch adjustments on the 21 Harley's changed from the way they were done in the past. There is now a spring loaded adjustment instead of the screw/nut adjustment.

Because this was not properly done, it completely burned the clutch up. All of this happened is about 15 miles. So caution, if you have a 21 or newer, please make sure you fully understand how this is done. Also, if going into the primary, please make sure you know what adjustments might be needed. Since I don't, this is all the more reason for me to keep away from this.

By the way, clutch cable was just fine

Also want to add - this thing rides really nice. So far, I have only taken it from the dealership to my home - but still have a nice ride feeling. Wife and I are taking that first little ride on Saturday - supposed to be a really nice day. .

Thats great that they replaced with a new clutch. The other day I was lookin around on the tpms, this guy bought a piece off 2.5" diameter 4 " long Threaded plastic pipe drilled a hole in it put his tire pressure valve stem & sensor in the hole, glued the threaded end caps put 40 psi in the valve stem he keeps in the trunk of the trike , say's it works great ???

Yes, the NEW spring adjust on the cable is a POS, however, there is still an adjustment ( same as always) for the clutch basket

Get familiar with how to do the adjustments, there are already reports of the cheap spring loaded cable piece breaking. H D is already supposed to have a new and improved cable, tho I have not seen it yet, have a look here at a better repair

So true - I read about that cable and am certain i will be getting either the upgrade or the new Harley cable.

For now, I want to enjoy the riding weather. Planning on doing a few more things over the down time - including possibly putting a CVO TriGlide BCM in my bike

Beautiful day and my wife and I headed to our dealership. Even though we had a trike some time ago, I just wanted to take a few short trips to get use to this new one.

Everything ran great - and, my wife was very comfortable on it. Just kept telling myself, push pull and stay in the middle. In just a short time, I was getting very comfortable.

Later in the day, we decided to go back out and take some pretty straight roads that had speed limits of 55 mph. Wow, this thing handled very nicely. Wife said she did not get the jolts she use to get on the two wheeler.

Tomorrow, the weather should be equally as nice and we will head out to Frankenmuth - about 65 miles each way. We usually take the back roads - however, I want to jump on the highway and test this out at 70.

We have a few trips coming up in June, July and August - so we want to make sure all is well. One of those trips is to CSC to do a wheel swap. The black ones I ordered were not in stock. CSC has been great (so has my installer Gary) and said they would swap them our. Another friend is having his Indian done so I will meet him there
