Wife and I are planning a CSC plant tour sometime this summer and mix it i with a WV ride. I have tons of questions for them and feel a visit face to face might be the best way. Still have not ruled out converting my 07. But I have questions.

I think we are going to be there around July 14th or so. My buddy is shipping his bike to the near then end of June - CSC says 4 days and it will be ready to go. He lives in MA and, I live in Michigan. Will arrange it so I can be there when he gets his new trike - and, I get my wheels. Then we will head back together, probably splitting off somewhere in PA.
Think you will find the CSC guys very helpful - I have.

Randy, the M8 clutch adjuster on the spring loaded cable is a poor design, you have to pull out the red clip, push the cable down, re insert the clip, make your clutch hub adjustment in the hub first, then pull the rse clip back out, it should pop the spring and slack out of the cable before re installing the lock clip
This is a very poor design and begs to install the aftermarket fix that you can manually adjust the cable

I understand and agree with the poor design Jack. Still just wanting to know if Harley takes this into account when someone other than a HD dealer is working on it. It is an issue and a potential liability that indy shops and trike installers need to be aware of and become eductated on the proper R&R steps and procedures involved.

Since the bike only had 785 miles on it when converted, CSC and the installer took full responsibility and paid for the dealer to install everything new.
When the kit was done, the installer kept telling me they were having difficulty getting it to work. Seems it worked for a mile or so, then didn't work again. They kept adjusting.
When the trike was delivered to me, it was slipping, and I knew right away something was wrong. Installer asked me to take it to the dealer for adjustment. When I did, they said right away that it was gone.
Dealer got the parts, made the new install and now, over 6000 miles later, all has been great. Was thankful that both CSC and the installer stepped right up.
