I have the cams in my 110. Right now I am out on my first long ride with them. I used a TTS tuner and had the Wiz do the tune. I support all that Steve says. I did not run a dyno on her but from my past experience this 110 is doing every bit of the numbers he mentions to expect. Just for an example I am cruising down the expressway at 65 MPH in 6th gear turning about 2500 rpms on cruise control. When it comes to a sizable hill here in North Carolina she will drop to 64 mph as it starts up the hill accelerate on cruise control to 66 as its going up pulls hard all the way not slowing at all. It will pull from 62 mph also in 6th gear. Just FYI I changed my trans pulley to 32 tooth from the stock 30 tooth. Means I am turning less RPM's at 65 mph then with the stock pulley equipped TRI would be. This TTS cam definitely does the job if the ecm is tuned correctly. I fully believe that the cam is not your problem. Good luck I hope for you that the tech, can dial it in for you.

I want to apologize to Steve for posting those specs, I knew there was a chance they may not be correct, which is why I had been so hesitant to post them. I've ask a moderator to remove the cam spec files from the post.

I do not want anyone spending there dollars and not getting what you need but I cannot help it if the tuner person isn't doing there job correctly. We will help if asked. I cannot tell someone how to operate there software but I can give them where and what to look for to get a proper tuneup going.
I apologize if I came off harsh. I know it's the tuner not tuning right. *If you read the previous posts on this thread. You will see the problem I'm having. I have the sert and have been using the smart tune. The tune was fine until I had the cam changed obviously the cam has to be tuned in.Unfortunately there is no map for this cam, so I've had to try and improvise. I called tts and tried to get some spec info,I was told use the one with the se255 as it was close. Trike wouldn't even run, so back to drawing board. I even tried with help from msocko whose been a great help to use a modified map similar to the tts100, that was my last above post on my weekend trip. I've done probably ten smart runs and still having problems.*

I finally called Harley about maybe a dyno tune. Closet trike dyno is almost two hours away.*
They said they probably can tune but requested a few specs so they know what they are dealing with...lift, and a few other things I can't remember.
I don't want to pay for a day long dyno run if they can't figure what the cam is.
That is where msocko was going with that posting of his specs
I've even thought about just buying the tts tuner and popping it in and solving it that way.But the dyno tune seemed the most logical since I already have a tuner. But I want then to be able to determine the cam type so I get the best tune.

Do you have any friends around you that might have a TTS Mastertune unit on there bike? If you do as long as they have already used it on there bike we should be able to get a copy of your calibration in a TTS format. If you can do that then I could look at it and see what I see to try and get you going the right direction. Since we do not look at what everyone else is doing this is about the only way I know to try and get you going. Would love for you to switch to our tuner but I also do not want to see you waste money on something.

Unfortunately with all the friends I have that ride no one had the TTS,I wish they did, it would make this easier. I bring my bike into the dealer Saturday morning for the dyno tune. Is anyone around your shop if they have a question?

How far are you from St Louis area?

Jason is the guy there and should be able to help you out. While he has a dyno he would tune the trike without it as it will not fit his. He uses our tuners but also does the SE stuff for the local HD dealers.

    Hey Steve... Welcome aboard

Sorry I haven't been around much guys but most of you know my situation. Steve almost knows as much as I do about the TTS so I'm sure he can be of assistance in my absence.

Ok the closest shop I found for you would be Surburban HD up north of you in the Milwaukee area. The contact I know has moved on from there but I called him and he said they should be able to sort it out for you. He told me it's about an 1 1/2 drive from Chicago area depending on where you are.

Hang in there Wiz. By the way the TRI is running absolutely fantastic. On our Key Largo to NE US/Canada trip. In New York state right now.

Little update...I already had the dyno appt setup with Michigan city Harley in Indiana about an hour away. Dropped the trike off Tuesday with them.*
Dyno guy called me and stated he was having a few problems ie the backfiring and bogging issues. Seems during the process he got a code to pop. Never got that with me. Maybe was the aggressive nature of dynoing. Seems the front cylinder was showing low compression, one of the symptoms i got which I thought was the out of tune symptom. He messed with it awhile but couldn't find a source. He had to pull it off the dyno because of another appt.

Talked to service manager who said he was gonna get his electrical guy to take a look and see maybe if something else is giving me the problems.*
Strange thing is it ran perfect before I dropped the cam in.
Service manager did say I should of went with the se cam if I already had the sert.

Same thing if I had the tts tuner go with the tts cam. Said it's allot easier to tune if you have a map made for the tuner.
Hopefully get some good news today, hoping this doesn't get expensive.

Sorry to here the news, but , that said low compression is something mechanical, not tune related and the TTS cam or SE would be the same in that respect.

The service guy is just giving you a line! What did you use for pushrods? If you used adjustable one's the first thing I would do is check the adjustment on the low cylinder. If that is good them move on to ACR's if your model has them. If they need any help have them call us and we will do our best to give them a hand. Have a good July 4th holiday weekend.

Ok got the trike back today after they called me Friday. Talked to the dyno tech for alittle and he said the plugs were toast and they were causing some issues around 3krpm, they replaced them both and the issues corrected. He also told me, that for some reason on this map that the heat management in the map was giving him trouble, so he shut it off in the map. I attached the dyno sheet.

I guess I thought my numbers would have been higher.

He did say not having an exact map for for tts100, he had to make small changes to each run and see what the results were. He had to kinda guess on the lift and such. He said be tweaked as much as he he could and got rid of all the decel backfires too. I think he said he ran twenty something runs.

I rode the trike back home from the shop. One and half hours later, I had a ride with no pops, stutters, backfires and some good passing power.*
Not sure what numbers I'm supposed to be seeing. I know the original thread by wiz, had the horse power higher. He did say he got the runs to smooth out but couldn't figure out why he was getting the small dip around 3k rpm. He couldn't get rid of it. I don't really notice it when riding.

One thing he mentioned was the heat management.

He said that it is set by Harley to remain on, he said even turning it off when power is switched on and off its back on. I didn't know that.

Looks like he got it closer but is still not completely tuned in correctly. That dip should not be there, period. Not only does no one else have it, that is one of the strongest areas with our camshaft design! As for have exact cam specification that has nothing to do with tuning at all. Even if I was to give it to him, that would have done nothing for the dip he left in the tune. Ask them to provided you with the Dyno run files via e-mail, not just a picture. If you get those I can review the data contained in the dyno run to see if they had the fuel meter hooked up, I hope they did anyways. Tuneing is all about seeing what the engine wants and you as a tuner are suppose to provided that, Sorry but that is what your paying him to do and not what you got. See if you can get a copy of the raw dyno run file from them and a copy of your finished tune and send it to me and I will be glad to take a look at all of it for you.

I'm back, now that the weather is turning gonna get back on the tune. Called the dyno guy back and he's gonna look for the files.*
Ended up taking a few trips and trike ran good. Not great as shown by the dyno run sheets above. But I had some good trips planned and wasn't gonna spend them sitting in Harley service.
I did take a nice trip to Nashville, and did have an issue pop where I was almost stranded. Bike was going into limp mode. Turns out after researching and speaking to a few other Harley service centers. That I was having an issue with my throttle by wire. Harley has a bulletin when adding extensions that problems can occur. Bought the new one piece tbw cable and have had many problem fewer miles also let the dyno guy know about that. Wondering if that contributed to the dyno run issues.

Gonna try and get those files or try and get a fresh run out of them.

Saw Wiz posting too, glad to see you back!

with Steve!! The times that I have had a bike tuned by a tuner on a Dyno, I have always requested a copy on a thumb drive I provide, and I keep the thumb drive with me in the tour pak!! If they do not want to provide you with an electronic copy in this manner, find another tuner!!

A couple of things keep jumping out at me: The Mechanic {tuner guy} keeps referring to the fact if he had a map for your set-up all would have gone better. If he had a map for your set-up, he would not have to put it on the dyno! I thought that's why you got the dyno runs - To get the correct map for your set-up.

With the Race Tuner, it is your back up. The dyno tune is downloaded to the tuner and flashes your bike. I keep that puppy in a triple baggie rubber banded moisture barrier {LOL} in the trunk. If anything where to go bad - All they have to do is re-flash it with my tune, anywhere I happen to be...jc

    Well I'm back

Long story short I had the trike dynoed again after complaining to the dealer and he agreed to do a retune. They fired the last guy tuning guess several people weren't happy. Hired a new guy with 20 years dyno tuning.
New tech called me yesterday and said he was done. Tech said he got 77 hp and 111 on the torque. He said the run looks good.
I wasn't sure if that hp number sounded right. They are going to copy the files for me on a thumb drive.
I know that torque is always the numbers to shoot for but looking at your dyno runs wizard posted his hp is near 90.*
    Do those numbers sound right?

Picking it up Sunday so I can post a copy of the run. I will also have the files.

Default tts 100 cam dyno- retune

    Got the trike back.
Ive attached the new dyno sheet showing he got 82.92 hp and 107.00 torque.
Old one attached for reference showing 77.61 and 97.96.
Noticed the dip 1500 and 2000 not sure what that's from

Numbers are definitely better. Service manager didn't have too much info but did say the tech started from a fresh tune and went from there. Didn't get a chance to ride it because of the goofy rain. Hopefully get on it soon and see if I notice a difference.

Unfortunately the dyno tech was off so I couldn't get the files on the thumb drive. Service manager said he would get them from him tomorrow and email them to me.
Not sure if you still wanted to look at them Steve.
