Congrats Carla, looks great!
2009 Honda Gold Wing Motor Trike Adventure Kit
I like Michele’s Spyder so well, I wish I’d have tried one out before I settled on the TG. I would’ve went with one instead.
Happy trails to you and your new steed!

Paul, always follow your comments since you opted for the Spyder from the GW, something you rarely see. Perhaps you could post here, how the Spyder has performed for you, the quality, the long rides, the carrying capacity, wind management, suspension, repair cost, just to mention a few ideas for discussion. Not sure why we don't have more Spyder posts here compared to HD and GW. Don't think you ride two up, but that's always a consideration for some of us. Seems we can discus this vs that on this forum without starting some kind of word war, and that's a good thing.

Ahhhh, a hot cup of coffee and a good cigar, after a good ride.......
Many thanks OJ. And thanks to all for the many congrats I’ve received.
Picked her up today. Now the “crack” cleaning begins. Takes me a while to detail a bike as I work so fastidiously on getting every spec of dust eliminated. Believe me...in west Texas that will keep ya busy!

Fair enough Paul, be looking for that thread. As I've said before, don't see enough Spyder comments on TT. I lurk over on SypderLovers and read many of them, and I may even by one someday, I'd like to read more positive comments.
So.. I got the papers signed, the check written, drove it off the dealer’s lot, filled it with gas, and finally parked in my garage....on Friday.
All day Friday afternoon and the better part of Saturday I was detailing the Spyder. I wanted to reposition it a little in the garage. Would not start. All the lights lit up, screen display stuff came on, the horn honked - so far, probably not the battery...it showed a picture of a key, then said DSS. Went through all the motions I’d been shown to start it. Switched it off, let it set,,,would not start. Called the dealer. The owner came right over - only about a mile from my house. He could not get it to start. He called his mechanic and over the phone went through various motions - no start.
He sent the recovery guy over with a trailer. He tried various things - would not start.
Ok...its locked in 1st gear, could not move it. This guy pushed this, that, and the other and got it into neutral so we could roll it onto the trailer. I asked him what he did to get it into neutral and only thing he said was that “you learn a few things about these things”.
Got it to the dealer, I told him to keep it over the weekend....they are closed Sunday and Monday.
After much knashing of fangs, no sleep, and much anxiety over this and visions of being stranded somewhere and not even able to push it out of a dangerous situation, I went in to the dealer first thing today. Told him I didn’t want the Spyder, what are my options? He said no problem, he thought I might say that and had not processed ANY of the paperwork! That tells me right there they knew something was ka-ka with this vehicle. They did deposit my check and he promptly wrote me a reimbursement check and shredded the paperwork.
Actually, I MIGHT have kept it but the salesman’s words kept coming back to me...the lady who owned it before me complained that it would not start - they said she was “twisting the throttle” while trying to start it and you can’t do that...she traded it in on a 2018. I should have known there was more to the story than she “twisting the throttle”.
Long story short.....my treasured Gold Wing trike is back in my garage and I am glad she is. I’ll address this issue again - I’m thinking I might not want to even ride anymore. It’s gotten to be too much of a hassle for me.
If anybody knows of someone that would like a truly nice trike in great condition let me know.
Fuzzywuzhe, our trusted moderator here on TrikeTalk and talented mechanic, can attest to the trike’s condition. He drove it at Kerrville and did an oil change afterwards while checking on everything underneath.
