Passenger Seat Height

I have a question. Recently acquired a 2019 tri glide. The passenger sits higher than she did on my 06 ultra. I put a taller windshield on it but she still gets more air than she would like. Does anyone know if they make a seat that lowers the passenger?

Maybe take to a seat shop and have them take some of the foam out of the seat, which would get your passenger a bit lower.

ShapeShfter It helped some but not enough according to mama. Without going to a 13 or 14 inch shield and looking dorky. Was wondering if anyone knew of seats that change the passenger height.

HD dealers have "Demo seats" .... you go to the dealer, they swap it out, you leave your seat and test the new one.

They do that with windshields too, unfortunately only on HD products.

In the end, you may have to do, as another poster suggested, go to a seat shop or upholstery shop to get something that may help her.

Mustang makes some low profile seats, but, Mustang seat have also been way too hard for my tender b$tt.

I have a Mustang seat which is very comfortable, but it is not low profile. Maybe you can locate a dealer and try one.

Kevin, Sorry the new windshield didn't eliminate the excessive wind blasting her. Hopefully, there's a nearby dealer that has a "Seat Demo" program for trial rides, or as Jack mention, contact Mean City Cycles for a possible seat modification. Wish the both of you a quick resolution......Wes

I've used Mean City in the past. They do nice work.

BUT, 10-15 years ago we discovered how easy it is to pull the seat off the bike and remove the staples holding the vinyl covering on.

Between the vinyl and the foam is a plastic (saran-wrap type) barrier. Remove that and keep it.

Then get a carving knife from the kitchen knife (manual or electric) and shave off however much foam you want the seat to be lower by.

Put the plastic barrier back on, put the vinyl back on, and staple it in place. The only cost is 1 hour of time and, if you don't already have an electric stapler, $15-20 at Home Depot or Lowes.

It really is quite simple. We've done it to a half dozen bikes to get the seat where Mary likes it.

Great info to know Kevin, thank you, mcc has also reworked a seat for me and I think it was 150 or 200 dollars, your idea is way cheaper
