Approaching 55K and needed lifters again. Never really appreciated how it ran with the HD 255s, so had them change the cams at the same time. I got to ride it today while using the VTUNE function of the TTS Master tune. The motor runs much smoother??? (don't know how to describe it) and although the temp today was in the lower 60s it runs much cooler and I have to say I worked it doing multiple tuning passes. Anyway, since it was converted to a Trike, the power was OK but lacking. I'll tell you, this cam change completes may conversion process. This may sound funny,, but with this cam it feels like the motor isn't working as hard. I can't wait to see what kind of fuel milage it gets at 75 or 80 MPH. A few less gas stops going to Glacier National Park this summer won't hurt a bit! Ride Safe!

Ive got another build in mind and have been looking at the tw222 as a possibility so keep us posted. Glad you are happy so far.

Hey Mike how's it going? My bike is in the shop again. Got a oil leak fixed & readjusted the clutch. They are waiting to get an appointment to get the bike Dynoed again. Last time they took it to Pierceton,In, which is 1hr south. Now they have to take it to Fort Wayne,In. Thats 2hrs away. Might as well keep it all winter. Hopefully you can get your's out this weekend. Take care & ride safe. Jim

Dang, your all kinds of snake bit with that trike. I sure hope you have reached the end of the issues so you can just put on miles. You'll have to let me know how the dyno works out. Its been in the 60's the last couple days but my toys have all been tucked away for their long winters nap, plus I've been busy getting things ready for winter.

He has been a really good Son helping to take care of me. I had both my knees replaced 3 weeks ago.

I guess so Mike. I went buy your place and beeped the horn about 3pm today. No truck out, no leaves in the yard, no lights on. Looks like winter over there already.

Geeeze Oldmsocko, same with your place, If I had known about the knees, I would have brought over some rootbeer. Get better soon!!

How does the 222 cam compare numbers wise Mike?

I was in the house, I heard you honk. Since the bikes are over my dads now I've been keeping the truck in the garage.

I haven't really seen any dyno sheets on the 222, on paper and from what I've read they look like they'll do a good job. I haven't read about anyone being disappointed in them.

Hey Mike, they took the bike to get dynoed today. They were suppose to anyway. They said they were going to Michigan City Yesterday. That's towards Chicago. Haven't heard anything yet. Hopefully it didn't blow up or something. Let you know what happened. Jim

Make sure you keep up with your therapy & exercises, I know about those knees! I've had 5 total knees, 3 left & 2 right and this last set seems to be working out fine. I hope your doing good with yours.

Dang thats a long trip down a very bumpy road, I hope yours work perfect this time around.

I had mine done 1 in Feb. 1 in March. Doc would not do them at the same time because I have a tri-level house. It took awhile before they felt good. I know some people that never had any pain after the surgery and done great. I hope you are one of them. Keep up with the thearpy and you will do well I notice improvements every day.

Mike, haven't heard from the HD shop about my Dyno. Maybe they blew it up,or never made it there,or something else happened. Got me worried now. It's been a hell of a 2yrs. Pretty bad when your afraid to go on a trip, less it will break down or when you get back it will end up in the shop again. Jim

With both of them being done at the same time I can tell you it certainly has been a challenge. Besides the pain I basically had no stability to walk. It is improvine and I work my tail off at physical therapy. I am jealous of those that have no pain. It has been 4 weeks since surgery and I still have quite a bit of pain when I walk, not so much when sitting or laying down. I still have to walk with a walker or cane.

I'm betting either they were just ignorant and haven't contacted you or they haven't done it yet. I know what you mean about wondering if your going to make it home, kind of the reason I dumped mine. It was showing some signs of future electrical problems plus the compensator was shot. The electrical shouldn't have been an issue because the only thing I ever added was power to my GPS and air compressor for my seat, both were connected to the aux and never exceeded its rating.
