been too long

Loving my 2017 F3-Ltd, so not interested in the 2018s, just want to ride, ride, ride what I got. Wife and I have joined the GWRRA Eagle Wings chapter here in Hot Springs Village, and they ride! Plenty of GW trikes and Spyders and they love having us as part of there club. In fact, they have ask my wife (she rides a 2016 Spyder F3-T) and I to lead a 9 day trip from here in Arkansas to Big Bend National Park in Texas next month (April), and that is exactly what we are going to do! See ya on the road.........

OJ you and Jan ride safe and have fun fun fun we will see you in E S in may

Bad news, Jr........... On our trip to Big Bend last week, Jan hit a 100+ pound wild black hog one night when we were out to see the Marfa Lights. She's fine, but the bike has some damage (although she rode it all the way back to Arkansas!) and it will be in the shop during the ES ride. So we are cancelling our resv for that trip. That hog took out 3 of our trikes, Jan hit it first, then I missed it, then two others hit it. One has $10K worth of damage, don't know what ours is yet. Ya don't want to ride the roads in West Texas after dark......the wildlife is abundant and is on the roads!

Juice...

So glad everyone is ok. Sorry about the incident. Yes, those hogs will often gather around the highways at night - don’t know why...maybe chasing rabbits?

Kudos to Jan for hanging on and handling her Spyder so well as to their both being able to actually drive back to Arkansas! She is one skilled lady!

By the way... did you get to see the Marfa lights? I have seen them exactly 1 time - in October of 1971 when I was going to school at Sul Ross. Been back looking for them MANY times since to no avail.

I wonder if the dynamic steering helped you miss that sucker? I think I fear hogs more than deer now. I see fresh kill all the time around here.

Yes the steering most likely helped her to control the trike at impact and after.

I have traveled out to the Big Bend 25 or 40 times over the years and usually stop to see the "Marfa Lights". In all those years, this year was the most prolific I have ever seen! I have been there years when I saw nothing, but mostly (if you stay there long enough) I would see a little movement and activity. This year was unbelievable, they were in several places on the horizon and had their usual "movement" up/down/sideways/color changes/disappear and reappear...........
