is there a way to eliminate some of this if not all. i have to tie my hair down just to keep it out of my eyes. beard, long hair. i'v had this trike 3weeks and have only had the radio on once because it sounds so garbled. and no i'm not cuttin my hair:) i'v seen these extensions that are adjustable for the ferring but don't know if it's worth 100.00s plus. thanks

Radio should not be garbled . I can even hear my GPS . I have the baker wings I think they help

If I recall Homer, you rode a .dresser prior to the FLHXXX and I suspect that's what you're comparing to or looking for. Unfortunately its not gonna be the same.

The dresser had a windshield...the Street Glide has a mini "wind deflector". That's a huge difference. The dresser also has wind wings on the lower part of the fairing...the SG doesn't.

What you are experiencing is completely different aerodynamics and what seems to be abnormal air flow.

I think the absence of the windshield is your biggest problem. To solve that, you can easily replace the 6 inch deflector with a 9 or 12 inch windshield and get the air flowing over and around your head.

The wings are a much lesser issue, but likely could be added as well.

Good luck on solving your problems.

I installed the new style short windshield on my batwing fairing. Rode the trike about 10 miles and put my original back on. Sounded like I was riding in a tornado with the stubby little windshield....looks nice on the bike but not really functional for my taste. Anyone wanna buy a short windshield??
A 12 inch windshield should take care of your turbulence problem.

There is actually a vest that supposedly eliminates all or most of the turbulence it's called an Aerovest. The premise is that most of the turbulence comes from below the windshield due to positive air pressure yada yada yada...here's a link to the vest:

What is Jack's Flaps AeroVest windshielding accessories for bikers, motorcycle riders?

If you ride a motorcycle with a windshield and no fairing, this vest is the perfect accessory for you. I believef the FLHXXX has a fairing.
