Powells Crossroads Cafe.....

In the sleepy little Town of Powells Crossroads, Tn, there's a little tiny Cafe at the intersection (...only traffic light there) of Hwys 27 and 283. 27 takes You twisting and winding over a mountain into the backside of Chattanooga at the base of Signal Mountain, while 283 corkscrews You through part of the Sequatchee Valley into Pikeville, Tn. at the base of Warren Mountain...both Routes are "absolute must dos" if You're ever in the vicinity...You'll be well rewarded with an abundance of curves, great scenery, and good asphalt

The Ride from Monteagle Mountain usin' 41 to Whitwell, then 283 from Whitwell to Powell's Crossing is really fun, but take the 283, 28, 108 Route back for even more entertainment. In Powell Crossroads at the only Traffic Light in town You'll find the Powell Crossroads Cafe. It's a rough little slab-board building serving up homemade Meat-n-Veggie Plates (Catfish on Friday night) or Hand-patted Burgers...the Food is excellent Southern Cookin' and a Family owned and run Business....a few Pics.....

Skuuter, you represent Tennessee well! I just don't think there is a bad back road in middle or east Tennessee! We must be careful as not to get our roads too crowded. I'm afraid everyone is going to want to come down here to live the life of a Tennessee Hillbilly! Not to mention the FOOD!!!!
