2011 TriGlide Mufflers

Hello,

I know there are several threads on the board about mufflers for the TriGlide, but none of them have any specs for the mufflers. So, I am looking at putting a set of mufflers on my TriGlide, vance and hines mufflers specifically. What are the model numbers for the TriGlide mufflers or name of the mufflers?

When I visit different sites I just get more confused, 3" or 4". How do I know what size I have now? Do I have to take the existing mufflers off to figure how big the pipe is? Do I need adapters? Wow, seems I need to become a rocket scientist.

Just trying to figure it all out and seemed to be stumped, any help would be awesome, THANKS!!

I have been doing the same research and ended up with the V & H Twin Slash Rounds...my dealer made me a deal that I couldn't refuse. Any slip-on's u look at should have a list of bikes/trikes they will fit on....I have a post on here that has some good info from the members....

V&H does make a trike specific slip-on, they call it the Trike Deluxe Slip-on.

I went through the same learning process when I bought my 2012 TriGlide. In fact, I started a similar thread on the forum here asking what fit and what didn't.

I think it's safe to say that just about any round muffler up to 4" in diameter and designed for a late-model Harley touring bike will fit your bike. The stock mufflers are just a hair under 4" in diameter. The V&H mufflers I'm running now have 4" bodies and bolted right up to my bike with no clearance or fitment issues. The only issues you might run into when using 4" mufflers is scraping them when going over speed bump or into / out of driveways. Those clearance issues are easily rectified with some lift brackets from tglidestuff.com.

I think the only mufflers that would cause problems are maybe some oval mufflers or "boomcan" types.

Yea, JohnC and I got ours about the same time and was my exact question. We went back and forth on this. It's like he said, just about anything that fits a touring H-D will fit.

I went with the Supertrapp Kerker Slip-Ons so I could spend more money on custom end caps (no brains). Fit great. Look gnarly (I'm 50, can I say that still?).

I bought the H-D Fatshotz (SuperTrap)slip ons and they sound Ok - just a wee bit louder then stock.
I love the look of them.

I put the Vance and Hines Trike Deluxe Slip-Ons on my '11 TG...so far I have been pretty happy with them but only put about 40 miles on since I installed them a couple of weeks ago. Pretty decent sound, much lower and 'throatier' than stock but not "in your face" loud. I will be adding the V&H Power Duals and a TTS before summer.

I have the Fatshotz. After I gutted the cat they got a lot louder so I ordered a plate and closed end cap kit from SuperTrapp. Sounds fine and the trike still has good torque.
