Default Baxley Trike Trailers - No Ramp=No Bottoming Out

Hey guys and gals. Baxley Trailer Co. has a trike specific trailer that will make loading/unloading your trike safe, easy and a one person job. We have engineered a trailer that tilts to the ground, eliminating the need for a ramp. Simply ride on, get off, attach straps (up and over the rear tires) and crank the winch down.

Here is a video of our trailers. The trike trailer will fit almost all brands.
Our trailers tilt for easy loading without risking bottoming out. No straps attached to your frame either....

Looks like an excellent idea! The ease of operation seems great, and if I was in the trailer market, I would be very interested.
I have a normal tilt trailer with rear extensions that has a very low angle to drive on, and a wheel chock in the front. It does work very well, although not as simple and easy as your offering. I modified a flat utility trailer myself, and have about twice the money in it that I could sell it for, so I'm pretty well stuck with it for a few years.

I probably would give your design a 12 on a scale of 1 to 10. Of course cost would be the determining factor as for your success.

I agree has some nice features but pricing would also be a factor in my decision.

Guys I'm here to tell you these are the best built and easiest loading trailers Ive ever seen and Im not saying this because Baxley is just now a sponsor here. They are a Christian based company and are located right here in my home town. My first cousin was a fabricator/welder and worked for Jerome Baxley for close to 30 years before retiring recently. Their main business is building custom heavy equipment for paper mills, nuclear plants and other industrial institutions where extreme quality control, engineering and precision is required and they deliver every time and have for 60+ years now. Baxley Companies

A Baxley Trailer is not going to be the cheapest one out there but they are worth every penny they cost and they have just lowered their prices on the entire bike and trike trailer line substantially to make them more affordable for everyone, not just a few. I know for a fact that they have always stayed busy as the their reputation and demand has always been tops, but they are now swamped since lowering the price close to $1500 per unit. I know this because Ive been spending a lot of time there lately working with Brian and Chip their engineer, tweaking the trike trailer design. This is a wide, long, NO RAMP trailer that will not tear the coolant tank off your Goldwing when loading it. Anything you want to haul on it can be safely rolled or driven onto its lowered, low angle bed.

Im very proud to be a newly signed on Baxley dealer and cant wait to get my first one! I already have several folks wanting one.

If you are interested in a single bike, double bike or trike trailer, contact Brian or me.
excellent design and appears very easy to use , but doesn't measure long enough for the Rewaco's. Other than that it would be perfect for me.

I love the ease of loading. But I can get an Aluma TK-1 for $2395. Quite a difference in prices. I can ALS use the Aluma for other applications.

Looking at the trailer weight and the gross weight it will not carry enough weight. Max trike weight equals 1130 lbs, my trike specs says it weighs 1200 lbs. I am sure the physical characteristics would allow that much weight but I am not so sure about the suspension (rubber coil springs) and besides, the warranty says it is void if you carry over the weight limit.

Payload is 2150. This is the amount of weight you can load onto the trailer. Gross weight would be trailer + payload which would = 3170 GVWR.
It will hold your bike + 950 pounds of other stuff.

The information says- We've taken our standard GT2000 and modified it specifically to carry a trike conversion motorcycle. I thought the same as you but, look at the GT2000, payload is the maximum weight (trailer and the load), look at the warranty and instructions for for the GT2000, it says not to exceed 2150 lbs. They use the same suspension. How about it Baxley Trailers, what is the gross vehicle weight for this trailer?

I like them.. But, I don't love them enough to buy one. I would make one or buy a used one. The Design is very good, And you should be selling a lot of these... For me it's a price point issue and how many times I would use it verses cost!

BTW I really like the Engineering that goes into your products and I think they are most likely one of the best if not the best trailers out there today!

Not a very good warranty..

The warranty periods are as follows:
A. Frame is warranted for one year. Void if:
• Frame is broken or bent due to abuse.
• Wheel spindles or swing arm spindles are bent due to impact.
• Wheels are bent or broken due to impact.
• The trailer or its components have been subjected to non-factory alterations.
B. Hubs, bearings, lights and wiring harnesses are warranted for 30 days. Warranty does
not apply to items damaged in collision or due to negligence or abuse.
C. Tires are covered under this warranty only if they are received by the
dealer either flat or bulged. Otherwise, they are considered wear items
and are not subject to warranty.

30 day warranty on hubs and bearings, yet it is the highest priced trailer on the market. You wanted an honest opinion.

The way I read it, it says up to two large motorcycles, 2150 pounds.

From the user manual:

SPECIFICATIONS
Dimensions
Length: 14’ 7”
Width: 102”
Height: 58 1/2” (with rock guard)
Weight: 920 lbs.
Tires: ST205/75R14 Tire pressure: 50 PSI
Load Capacity: 2150 lbs. LOOKS LIKE IT WILL TAKE THIS MUCH WEIGHT
Trailer Ball: 2”
Finish: Black wrinkle powder coat

BAXELY, YOUR TURN?????

Yup looks like a nice trailer for short hops but i picked up a Haulmark enclosed trailer for $2400 which totally protects the trike from the elements and prying eyes if i need to spend the nite in a motel on a trip.
