Cobra Power Pro

I have a 2010 Ultra (96 c.i.) that was converted to a California Sidecar.Trike. My only issue is that the trike is now under-powered, sluggish, etc.

My Harley dealer is pushing a stage 3 upgrade.
The shop that did the conversion is telling me that all I need is to ...
1. install a Power-Pro management system
2. install a set of headers which will eliminate the CAT.
3. Install a low restriction air cleaner such as a big sucker.

They will supply all of the parts and do the labor for right around $1500.00

Any feedback from fellow 96 c.i. owners?

</div>Depends on how much power you really want. The suggestion from your installer will give you very adaquate performance. But if you want to rip up the road then an engine up grade would be the answer. Punching it out to 103 with a good set of cams plus the intake, exhaust and tuner make for a real nice motor. Your call and money.

I have a two-wheeler for ripping up the road, a 2011 Softail Convertible with a 110 motor.

The trike is not for that. I just want it to get out of its own way with two passengers and luggage when going on a trip with my wife and entering a highway with a bit of an uphill grade.

I was just wondering if anyone else had tried a PowrPro and what they thought of it.

Would your 2010 Ultra also have the 32 tooth belt pulley? I replaced my 2010 TG pulley with the 2011 and newer models 30 tooth pulley. Better low-end pull with slightly higher engine revs. Just a thought.

The biggest thing for performance increase on the 2011 Triglide was to change the drive sprocket from 31 to 30 teeth. I have a friend that just had a CSC conversion on his 2011 Ultra with a 96ci engine. At 60 mph I am running 2500 rpm in 6th gear. He is around 2000 rpm in 6th gear, so he is usually running in 5th gear unless we are on a Interstate. It is a dog compared to the Triglide. Course the Triglide also has a 103 engine. I have another friend with a CSC conversion on his Roadglide. He had to replace the clutch and compensator after a long trip riding 2 up with a lot of luggage. He then did the stage 3 (I think) around 110 ci so he did not have to slip the clutch so much to take off. He should have tried the gear change, but he said that wouldn't make any difference, :o)

I have a 2008 Street Glide conversion. Went through all the usual upgrades. Ended up with 103". Last modification was the 30 tooth trans pulley. Should have done the pulley first. I think the 30 tooth pulley mod is the most bang for the buck with the six speed. Speedometer will no longer be accurate.

What kind of feedback are you getting on the Cobra Tuner? Is it the Auto-Tune version? The Fi2000 Powrpro?

Interested in what you are hearing. Not sure if I am going with this model or the TTS. I think the TTS may be more than I can handle or need.

Trike is waiting for me to pick it up tomorrow. All of the mods have been done. It's about 45 miles or so from the shop to home on various types of roads including highway.
I will let you guys know how it turned out.

OK, Here is the update....

Picked the bike up today and it looks pretty much the same, no real visible difference.
The PowrPro Tuner is under the seat, the S&S air cleaner is hiding under the stock cover and the Header Pipes look pretty much like the stock pipes. It does sound different, a bit louder with a deeper rumble, but not too loud at all.

I trailered the bike home so only test rode it about a mile or so down a straight country road. It did feel much lighter, more like it felt when it was a two wheeler. By lighter, I mean it did not feel like the engine was working hard to pull a heavy load.
I weigh about 190, so the real test will be when my bride is on the back seat and I plan to put 50 lbs of weight in the trunk to really give it the proper test ride.

The mechanic who did the work tells me the better breathing and the richer mixture will drop the cruising temp by close to 100 degrees. That will be Great!

So,,,,so far I am pleased with the results but of course i need to put some miles on before I can say that I am happy enough to suggest others do the same thing. Since I only have 6800 miles on the clock, I didn't feel like tearing into the engine to do cams or pistons, but you never know what might get done after the factory warranty expires.

This is by far the best and most cost effective thing to do.

Labor and parts are in line and it really does not influenced your gas mileage much at all and it will make your 6th gear a gear you will use more.
