What other trike manf. would you go with other than the one you have??? and why would you go with them....

I would go with Hannigan,,, I have been impressed with some of the things I have read about them, and I like the look of their kits.. this would be if I got a 1800 Gold wing.....

I would either go with a Hannigan or DFT.

Have seen a lotta trikes, but our experience and preferences would make us stick with CSC . . .

That is an interesting question Steve.I am real happy with my Motor Trike,But I rode behind a Hannigan last week and it is a good looking kit.I also rode behind a Hannigan sidecar rig week before last it was a good looking outfit to.Just saying they do good work I guess.

Sometimes it is nice to step out of the box and try something different... I think most of us like our trike kits, or maybe that is some don't want to admit they made a mistake

I am totally satisfied with Ghost Wheels. I would use both HD and Ghost Wheels in a heartbeat. The Kliktronic shifter unit too! That little gem has worked 24k+ without a hiccup.

Would stick with my DFT... Second choice is Road Smith. The trunk on the DFT is Ausum . Champion with ind rear , is # 3 on my list . I don't think on a score of 1 to 10 ( 10 being best ) that there is 1 point between them . To be honest I don' think any trike manufacturer would be less than a 8 . I have ridden quite a few brands .

Most likely a Motor Trike only if I absolutely couldn't get my 1st choice. They have come along way over the past 4 years since I bought my 1st trike. This time with all the conversions out there I still bought another Roadsmith. I wanted the best.

I never really looked into other makes in depth. But RoadSmith would be a consideration mainly because they supposedly have the longest wheelbase. To me that means better handling and a more comfortable ride.

Keep in mind the only trike I've ever ridden on is my own.

Roadsmith seems to have several advantages: longest wheelbase, IRS, huge trunk, built-in trailer hitch. I love mine.

If you are a die-hard two-wheeler with aging knees, Ghost Wheels sure looks like a viable alternative for about half the price of a trike kit.

I am taking delivery on my trike in march...I considered a hannigan,roadsmith and california side car..the csc had the abs brakes, that was important to me since my wing has abs...I liked the look of the csc viper most...the wheel base is half inch different from the roadsmith,total length is half inch different and the total width is wider than the roadsmith,so I chose the csc..I know this says would you change trikes but this is my first trike..hope I like it (time will tell)

The viper is a great looking trike... It will take you a good 500 miles to really feel good on the trike,, just remember when u pull into the gas statio u have fenders back there:-).

The DFT uses the original rear brake assembly so A BS would worth there too.

Let me start off by saying that I am right now in the process of triking my VTX 1800C. My 1st choice for a kit was a Champion w/irs. The only problem was they don't nake it for a C model. If I wanted to have a custom exaust made it would work. I didn't wont to alter the system in any way because of the expense of getting it to run right ( fuel injected ) and with the current sys. it runs like a top. So stupid me, after all the problems I had w/my wifes Motortrike stock exaust, ordered the same kit for my bike. Now if you want a first hand look at DECEPTIVE advertising look on Motortrikes web site or any of there pamplets and there in bold letters it claims that the C model uses the stock factory exaust. Would you like to guess what came in my kit? It comes with a small diam. straight pipe w/a baffle w/no packing and weled to a chrome exaust extension plus a 10" pipe w/2 bends in it to drop the exaust. Can you say MICKEY MOUSE!. The shop that is building my trike is owned by my best friend. He built my wifes trike also. So far he has spent about a day on fabricating my stock exaust,( mainly because I said if I didn't have a stock exaust he could send the kit back to Motortrike ).He still has a way to go to make it look decent. There will never be another trike kit by Motortrike in my future!........p.s. anyone wanna buy a custom muffler!

I purchased my trike kit off of larry at Tri Cycle in Gowanda N.Y. great guy to deal with kit was shipped direct to my place . as for the exhaust larry sent my mufflers to DFT and they modifed them and they fit perfectly plus they send u stainless steel band clamps and the pipes they put on the mufflers r stainless this at no extra charge. I called Leon at DFT and had him send me 2 pieces of stainless pipe that im gone to put chrome tips on for straight pipes so when i ride with my Harley buddys i can hear it run. lol . and DFT's mounting for mufflers i can change from mufflers to straights pipes in mins. Thier kits are Top shelf in my book great company and dealer to work with.

[Motor Trike]

The VTX C model with the Motor Trike Panther kit is designed with two exhaust options.

The first is to use the stock exhaust with minor modification or use the turbo slip-on exhaust that we ship to the dealer with the kit. We are always upfront with that information and that is what we tell our Dealers and Customers when they call to inquire about the VTX C.

However, most of our dealers opt to use the aftermarket version of the exhaust that we included with the kit as opposed to modifying the external muffler housing. We leave that decision strictly up to the individual dealer.
