My first bike was my favorite, it was a 1964 Honda Dream in red -- worked all summer on a farm to get the money to buy it. Rode it to school everyday till the roads got to bad, rain, sun and even snow at times. That was considered a big bike up here in the north country at the time. Harleys and Indians were few and far between.

It was my first big bike and was fast for its time and pretty classy. I bought it used but in cherry condition in 1978 and kept it for five years. I loved that bike and wish I still had it!

VERY NICE PICK!!!! in my top 10 of bikes I would like to have!

The very first real motorcycle..one that was not a mini bike was a 1978 Honda XL 75... I almost killed myself on it many times and to this day I miss the little bugger!

The first of the 4 stroke motors out on the dirt track in IL..it was slow and heavy but lord have mercy.. it was fun!

two: A BSA B50 500cc single and a Montessa Cota 250cc trials bike. Neither one could be called memorable, except to me. Pics included.

My favorite bike was the 1966 S32 150cc Suzuki that my uncle bought me brand new when I was 14 years old. He also bought a T120 for my younger sister & a T20 for my older brother, it was a great day.

I've had so many bikes over the years I'd have a hard time writing them all down, let alone in order.
The one that holds the most fond memories was a Kawasaki 3 cylinder 750cc 2 stroke. I had the 250 then the 500 versions, they were great as well.
I had the 750 for years and would dearly love to have one now. But Gawd ! the good ones go for big money these days. Too much for an occasional trip down memory lane.
I have been known to go into raptures over 1970s large 2 strokes in general but the Kwaka holds the top spot.

    Thanks, Nana!

I bought the bike under some strange circumstances. I saw the bike, immediately fell in love, and had to have it. My wife was recently unemployed, and was doing some cash jobs in northern Michigan. She was away from home for about 2 weeks, and that is when I bought the bike. Of course, the kids thought it was great to have a Harley, and Cathy was outvoted...she warmed up to the bike right away, and we toured and vacationed on "Trigger" for 19 years. I did cam and carb work in 1994, and a top end rebuild in 2004 (along with 10.0:1 pistons, single fire ignition, Mikuni HSR 42 carb), and 2 years ago I upgraded the charging system to a 3 phase, 50 amp system. I've done all the wrenching on this bike. It will never leave the family.

I learned to ride on a '72 Kaw 750 Mark IV. This was in 1974, my senior year in high school. My buddy had it, and I remember the clutch being stiff, it was easy to do wheelies on, and it scared the hell out of me. It was wicked-fast!

My first bike. It was a 200cc Triumph Tiger Cub in about 1956. My favorite and always wished I owned, but couldn't afford was a Triumph TR6 or T110 in about 1960.

1st was a 1966 150. (just sold it lt last month) Next was a 1972 Honda CB 450, then we went to a 1978 CB 550 K4. (sold it last year) But the Question was favorite. Full dressed Shriners parade. 1980 Goldwing Aspencade with its 30 lights. Should have kept it.....

    My favorate bike?

Two, A 1963 Triumph Trophy (my 2nd bike, the 1st was a Tiger Cub 1961?) I rode it as my sole transportation for three years.

I also like my 1978 750 Hondamatic. I still own and ride this one. I got it in 1985. I have lots of miles on this one!

While I like the Goldwing, I truely would never sell the Hondamatic. I did sell the Trophy and I regret that sale every spring.

Yamaha 1967 250cc Big Bear Scrambler. The pipes were come up and ran along the pistons walls. What i like about this machine you could ride on or off the road. It was a two stroke engine. The oil in one location, gas in another.Mixture was mixed automatic and off you when. It was fast also.

    1987 and 1988 Kawasaki Voyager 1200's.
We had a BLAST with those bikes. Rode them everywhere; pulled a Kwik Kamp with one and a cargo trailer with the other. We would get so comfortable with those bikes, on occasion we would find ourselves nodding off on the long road home after an adventurous weekend.

Afterwards, 1994 Honda Night Hawk 250's. They were SO easy to maneuver - ride and park them anywhere, light as a feather to load on the trailer behind the motorhome. They did have a really hard seat however...
