performance machine stage 1 rear brake kit on ebay

item # 370586754169 for $ 1188.00 i asked the seller if this was a new version, but have not got a answer. but the price is cheaper than from p/m. this really helps in the brakeing. if anyone buys this system please trace the right hand caliper mount brackey on a heave piece of paper & send it to me.i have the older version on my '09 t/g.
the older version doesn't have the emergency brake capability. & i'm trying to make a jigg out of the (old)two mount brackets on a piece of wood where you drill out the mount bolts and compensate for any offset for the oem caliper mount if any.
so that i have so i can have my emergency brake kit back. then i can send it to other guys who have the older version so they can do the same. of course i will reimburse you for the postage and you time. hope this makes sense.

not hand brake ?? Hand brake is cheap to do.

the old version of stage 1 did not have the e/b capability. the new version does. i'm trying to get a pattern of the new version caliper mount. ( hyd's is capped).& is solely used for the e/b.

Eagle1,,, I ordered the new stage 1 rear brake system from PM about a week ago and should be getting the set in about three weeks. So I could trace out the bracket when I recieve the set.

thanks butch, if you place the bracket on a table, not any off set where the OEM bpcaliper bolts on.
otherwise,
1. cover all brake line ends with a piece of trash bag tied with a bread tie. (to keep dirt out. feed the lineinto the bike fron the back.
2. take the rear set screw on the master cylinder completelt out before you start.( because in ft. exh. pipe is about 3/4" away) so its time consumeing to get it out.
3. i like speedbleeders.com 888 879 7016 their valves have a spring in them to prevent air from entering the lines when you release the lever. 8.00 steel or 15.00 stainless.
i also like ATE original SUPER BLUE brake fluid as its syn. and compatable with DOT 4 or 5. and they have a amber tented one so the next time you change fluid when you get
amber colored fluid comming out of the valve, the you know all the fluid has been fluished out.
4. also i made up a 'T' line of clear spagetti to fit over the rear caliper valves and long enough to reach the resivor so you can bleed the lines over & over & the fluid
goes back into the resivor till all the air is out of the system.
4. adjust the master cylinder plunger so when you release the lever the piston in the master cylinder goes in far enough to let fluid enter into the fwd part of the master cylinder. this is not set at the factory.
5. go to performance machine.com & under the TECH tab download the installation sheet for the stage 1.
hope this helps butch. lb if ya watch ebay you can get theis ft. calipers too sometime.
you will have to call speedbleeders because they don't list p/m calipers under their motorcycle list.
as info their h-d ones have a rubber cap for the valve. if you decide to use them.
