Voyager/Toe-pac/Trigg owners

Well today the weather was Nice in Colorado- 70 degrees in my part... I saw alot of bikes on the ride..

Well I have a voyager kit on my 2005 Honda VTX... Have not put much miles on it the last couple of years. I was thinking of taking the kit off the bike this year and was going to sell it... Got it due to wife having knee replacement
and shoulder surgery and were I live alot of sand on the road so I do like the stability. Will gonna give it another year.

Gonna do a pre-inspection check nuts and bolts on the kit, tires and check the pre-load. I know I am going to end up with a trike one day so I decided to attend the BTW trike in - in Colorado at the end of June. If the weather is good going to take my bike with the kit so this will be a true road test.

Like to hear from other kits owners what plans they have this year for any long rides?

Also the last time I went camping was when I was way young. So I was unable to get a cabin, so the wife says lets Camp. I rented a spot already
now in search for a tent... Should I get a cot or a good air matters?
I have to sleep on the floor...

Any suggestion's would be helpful...

The wife and I use inflatable air mattresses under the sleeping bag. We carriy pillow cases and use our leathers inside the pillow case as a pillow. We use a 3 man tent, carry a small propane cylinder and a coffee pot, and some fatwood to start the campfire. Its one of our favorite ways to travel, and is a sure conversation starter with your camping neighbors in their 50 ft air conditioned rigs.

Wish I had a AC rig...lol....anyway the goal is to save some $$$$ with gas prices on the rise.......need to cut cost...after checking the prices on cot vs air mattress for 2 the air mattress may be the way to go.

have a voyager on my vstar 1100,love it. we only ride up to 200 miles in any direction.have some nasty health problems and mileage keeps me near help. ride whenever i can , gas for 1 reason and its the best medicine i have. we do some camping but usually rent a cabin at some campsites that have them. live to ride to & ride to live is what,s its all about for me. voyager works well. have fun and enjoy !!! ride safe !

I haven't taken any long rides with my Voyager kit yet (on a 1500 Kawi Classic), but I've got a couple of long weekenders scheduled for this summer. I'm a bit to old for regular camping but when forced to I use a 7x7 tent with an good self inflating air mattress (the wife does not "do" bikes or tents). I use one of those tube pillows and just roll it up in the sleeping bag.

Kwik Kamp motorcycle trailer is the bomb. No more sleeping on the ground and no worries on hauling stuff either. Just open it up and throw the junk in.
