Hey folks I just started to take apart the trike to see what is needed and found out that the cable that opens the trunk does not work. Its a Lehman trike and there is no key as a back up. I was wondering if there was a back up way to open it if the cable does not work. I'm talking about the lower one. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Al

Now I'm double FFFFFFFFFFFFF I took of the top case completely off and found the cable laying there also broken. Now I'm scratching my head what to do know. I new this deal was to good to be true. What do you do when both cables are broken. Thanks Al

If there is any cable left to pull grab it with vice-grips and pull but don't over do it. Push the trunk door inward to take the pressure off the lock. Try both releases when pushing on the door. Greg

OK my problem is that the Emergency pull cable was broken and laying in the pan so I don't were it Evan went. Can some send me a pick where it came out or a idea where because there is no hole other then the factor cable hole I see. Thanks guys

I am sorry that I am out of ideas for you. You are going to have to disassemble the bike to get at something you can pull to get the trunk open. On my Valkyrie/Lehman Trike the lock has a double latching mechanism where it has one click than a second click lock (lose lock and tight lock) which is adjustable. I would call a Lehman dealer and ask them what you can do to get the trunk open. I know this person can help you if you get in touch with him, George Patrick member name kj5ix http://www.triketalk.com/forum/members/kj5ix-7/ He is a very knowledgeable person. Keep us posted, Greg

Update had to drill out the 2 carriage bolts that held the lock mech in place. What I found was that the factory cable was disconnected because the were 2 eyelet rods that were threaded, one on the cable and the other on the latch but had nothing connecting them and of course the back up cable was snapped off.
