65* this am, 15-20 mph crosswind. normally a freeze-your-face. ridehave to pull my ball-cap down to keep it on.
with Dennis's wind deflector i like it. i didn't feel the cross wing going 65 mph on 4 lane hwy. and the wind buffetting was gone.
here are a few tools i used. 1//4x20 tap to tap out the threads on the already threaded holes (but unused) the ones that are just inboard of the
3/4" bolt heads . Just in front of the stabalizer. you can do this ahead of time
also i used a couple of short screwdrivers 1 1/2" to keep the alignment when you remove the screwws on the forks.that way 1 person can do this in 30 min.
will have to wait till hot weather to see the effects on oil temps.
as i have my oil temp thermostat in-line from the oil cooles(installed in lt. crash bar area.) to the oil filter. as the twin cam is the first eng that the oil goes thru the oil filter before it goes to the enging. i have the oil temp reading as the oil goes to the engine.allen wrench is 4 MM.
nice work Dennis.
