Pulls to the right

I have a 1500 Motortrike coupe that we had done this winter. We have been able to ride the last couple days here in Michigan. We have been running the back roads most of the time to get used to the trike. My questions is that it seems to pull right when running on two lane roads. Is this normal?
When I run the center line it seems to go straight. I know that the crown of the road is the most likely the cause but is there anything that can be done about it.

Wayne - You are right about the crown in the road causing the pulling and it will be different on other roads.. Some riders will run a lower air pressure in one of the rear tires to off-set this. I personally have gotten use to it. I suggest once you get some ride time in to experiment.

ThirdWheel is right in that it is a normal occurance due to the crown in the road, and some folks do drop the psi in the left tire. On a Motor Trike you can also play with the wheel alignment. Opinion: just get used to it as ThirdWheel has done. Once you set it up for a certain amount of pull, you'll run into a road with a different degree of crown and you will still be steering against it.

Something else I have found is that on well-traveled roads there is often a slight dip or wear where car and truck wheels roll. If you set your front wheel just slightly to the left of center (rear end not over the centerline!) riding on the side of the dip will help steer you straight.

Riding/driving on the right side of a crowned road will tend to cause a car to pull to the right too. I would be careful about riding with different pressures in the two rear tires. It could cause a problem in an emergency maneuver.

I have been trying to solve this problem with my 1500SE coupe as well. I found that you can adjust the rear end tracking using the Hiem joints, but as stated, you'll run into it at different levels of "pull" with different roads. I ended up putting everything back the way it was, and adjusting the shocks and tire pressures. It is most noticed in Florida where the roads are crowned alot more that around here. I really don't like the lean, but I just do what I can. Let us know if you stumble on something! Thanks, jimsjinx
