I had mentioned this on another post today that had to so with the same topic.
What might be considered a comfortable seat by one person may not be for another. That being said, I for one can definitely state that my 'Ultimate Seats' are very, very comfortable!
My trike had Corbins when I first brought her home. Those seats, (imho) were very hard. Not comfortable at all. The Ultimates made a world of difference. Check out their site below;

do they make them for the stallion?
ok thanks, ill call them.
called them and they didnt think they were going to get in to doing those !!!!!!!!!!
any good upholsterer should be able to install a gel insert I always put em in mine. Makes a world of difference. Also don't pack nothin in your back pockets (wallet etc. it can cripple ya on a long drive. if you get an upholsterer to do get him to relieve the area where your junk rides makes a big difference too.
I'm have the hard seat problem on 2008 GW.
Question: has anyone had experience with Airhawk seat cushion?

Ultiimate seats had my Stallion for a week to "study" the seat and desided that they would NOT make one for the Stallion. Not enough Stallions out there as in other models!!! That said, I did have the foam replaced with a much denser foam during Bike Week a couple years ago and it is much better. After seeing the product, I would have gone to a local upholstery shop and had it done for at least half the price I paid ($425). Don't get the real dense black foam as some have tried that and it reminded them more of a corbin seat(which I have on my 2-wheeler). The stuff they used on my seat is about 3" thick.

Wildwest,
There is an upholsterer I used in the Tri-Cities to re-do my seat on a 1200 GW several years ago; she did a wonderful job. Have been thinking on using her again for re-doing the seat on the Stallion. Unfortunately, her services are so much in demand that she would most likely not be able to get to it for several months. Therefore...my reupholster job will most likely not happen until I put the bike to bed in the fall. If you are not successful in finding a suitable unit by then perhaps we could get ours in together. PM me for details if interested.
In the meantime...use a gel pad for the 1800 GW. I have been using one that was replaced by an Ultimate Seat. It fits the bill.
thanks markie, went to town yesterday to chris upholsterery and he would put a gel pad in for #200.00 and take about a week, all i have to do is drop it off.
thanks marty for your advice, some 30 years ago i had a old timer tell me then never to drive long distances with your wallet or anything thats bulky in your back pockets.
having drove semis for many years i always took my wallet out, and i do this with my bike also. best advise, i guess that old timer new what he was talking about back then.
hey their 3-togo
i did not know they made seat covers for these seats, thanks for the info.
jtilmon,
Talk to Mark at diamondseats.com
He is building a fabric covered seat for our 95 GW. I have had Diamonds on a 84 & 88 GW's and a 99 Valkyrie. Most comfortable seats ever. I had an Ultimate on a Valkyrie too. The Ultimate is a good seat, but the Diamond is more comfortable and less money.
When I had an 09 Stallion, had new foam installed by "Bike Solutions". (google them).
It helped a lot. However, too many other issues with the Stallion, so it is long gone now.

For what its worth, I was comfortable. My wife, however was not. While attending the lunch at last year's rally in the vally (maggie valley, nc), my wife struck up a conversation with a lady and her husband that had ridden in from TX on a Honda trike. She made the comment that the ride must have been comfortable on that Honda. The response made my wife see $$$. She said that they traded their HD for the Honda. The HD was much more comfortable with the HD Road Zepplin seat. Now I had to buy one. It has an internal air compressor and air bladders in the driver and passenger seats. I must admit, it made my ride more comfortable than I would have thought. My wife is HAPPY and comfortable and when she is happy and comfortable, so am I.
