Order placed and question.....

HOORAY!!!!! Went to the dealership over the weekend and place an order for a 2012 Blue/Black trike!!!!! Won't arrive until the 28th though. But at least I know it's on the way and it will be a GREAT summer!!!!!

Here's the question. I am working up the accessories sheet of things that I would like to be installed at the dealer. I am having a slight issue with the seat. I am looking at the Zeppelin air adjustable or the Harley Hammock style. Does anyone else out there use them?

Also, I am considering the use of the trike levelers from tglidestuff.com But I am wondering if anyone has had any warranty issues as I don't want to do anything to void that.

I have also picked out some LED's and other lighting "goodies" that should be a nice addition.

I am only going to be able to get the "dream bike" once and I really want to do it up right......

I have the air ride seat, I really like it, have them put one on so you can try it first. That goes for any seat, everyone is differen't. Congrats on the new ride our dealer has that one in stock, but I like my 2010. You'll never go back to two wheels!

Congtrats on te new purchase. I had a Hammorck and I did not think it was worth the difference from the stock seat. I have heard good things about the Zeppelin seat. From posting on this forum I have read that some dealer have no issue with the levelers while a few have said there would be a warrantee issue. I guess you will have to ask your dealer.

Thanks for all the great input so far. I don't have three pages yet, but I am over three GRAND!!!!! LOL...... but I am sure that there will be a lot that I will want to get after I bring it home.

My dealer reccomended Dennis's lift kit and installed it. He had a couple in stock.

Rear bumper.

Stock seat works fine for me. I was lucky. So I used the money I saved for the tour pak luggage rack. It never ends.

Dealer installed the lift brackets....am on extended warranty, no issues. Add floorboard extensions to your list...a definite must w/6 gal. tank! I'd pass on the rear bumper...gaudy-looking thing. Get the 2012 parts book and look thru the TG section....ka-ching, ka-ching.

What you don't have to buy: Check your tire pressures. My rears were 36 and should have been 26 per the owners handbook. Rode like a buckboard. Check the lug nuts, mine didn't feel tight enough, snug doesn't work for me.

Get the gawdy bumper. It will save on the expensive fiberglass way back there. I got the tour pak light conversion kit. Puts your stop lights and directionals at eye level for those tailgaters. Plus, it's all good at tGlidestuff.com. Don't forget to check out the Fuel Moto site.

hi all. had a trike for a few months now but has been in storage for many years. fat boy lehmans.its a 1990 modle. just put a tow bar on and electrics for trailer but having trouble with indicators they sem to work fast when conected to trailer and when they flash are slow to start and not very bright plus tail lights and brake lights tend to dim and brighten with indicators . also the switch on the bars for the indicator dosent stay on you have to keep it pressed with finger. my harley modern 2 wheeler clicks on and stays till you cancel it or it cancels its self.

Already have the parts book. Too much bling to take in at one time!!!!! I downloaded the Kuraykin catalog, just got Rivco in the mail and, of course, the standard JC Whitney lifetime subscription the theirs....LOL

Congrats on your new trike. I have to agree about the bumper. It does help protect your fiberglass in the back as thats not so cheap. I have it on mine from the dealer. I also added the SERT and Vance and Hines ovals. Currently I am getting a chrome front end put on and am adding the tourpak light conversion that delta was talking about. Good luck with the trike and have as much fun as you can.

You won't void the warranty installing the lift kit from Dennis. It is one of the best add ons I've done. You have more control going into corners,which gives you more stability. I just recently installed the wind deflectors from Dennis. Let me tell you, they are awsome! They cut out all the air coming up between the forks & gas tank. No more cold air!

Congrats on the new Trike!..Oh,, Where to start with add-ons...All the items that Dennis has on Tglidestuff.com are a must. Specially the lift kit which will greatly improve handling and cornering. The wind deflectors are a must have also. My dealer loves his stuff and reccomends and sells it all to anyone that needs it. 2 large $ is a good start. I am pushing 17 $ on mine, and I know other guys that are way higher than that! Start with functional safety stuff first. Change out the crappy stock grips and rear view mirrors that dont let you see what is behind you. I have a Mustang seat and love it. New style Corbin passenger backrest with extended arms, made for the TriGlide. Sweet Wife loves that. An American Flag that mounts on the tourpac Rack!!! $89.95!!! Haha!!! The list is a mile long!!!

Forgot to add: get rid of the OEM shift linkage and replace it with any one that have heim joints. The stock one WILL break.

Nice color choice i am picking up mine this weekend cant wait I have one question on the blue color. Have you seen it in the sun light? ))
My accessories list out the gate includes a color matched inner fairing, boom speaker upgrade, gps, chrome switches, heated grips, led accent trim on fairing, bumper, tour rack, and the list goes on. Stopped at $5k for now. More later.
Want to get the lift kit from what everyone is saying.
Spent over 10k on stuff for my 03 ultra. Still have her thou.
Expensive life style but what the hell can't take it with you. And the smiles are priceless.

I'm six foot tall w/long legs so the stock seat on my 2011 made me feel too cramped. I went with the hammock and it works great for me. I set a little further back and a shade higher than the stock seat. Wife likes it too. The lift brackets are one of the best mods you can do. The rear bumper is also a good choice as it not only protects the rear, it looks good on the trike.
