I bought my trike (?) last summer. It is a 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Classic with a Voyager kit installed. Checking the manufacturers web site, it states it only take about 5 minutes to take off the kit. The first time I removed the kit, it was more like 15 minutes. But it took about 45 minutes to reinstall it. Their web site didn't state any time about reinstalling it, and didn't give any info as to the easiest way to do the deed. Maybe someone here who has had lots of experience in removing and reinstalling their Voyager kit, could maybe pass on some ideas to make this job easier and faster for me ? After riding two wheels for over 50 years, I still like to ride two wheels on occasion, but really don't care for the hassle on the reinstalling segment of it all. BTW,, I don't use the factory stabilizing jacks, I use a block of wood that keeps the bike vertical.

I also have the same setup. Taking it off is easy (about 3 minutes) but putting it back on wasn't nearly as easy. I used a HF front wheel chock to hold the bike upright and then just pushed the kit under the rear tire. Push real hard! It wasn't easy to get the bolts lined up though. I think it might require loosening the rear spring shackles and re-setting the pre-load. Took me about 20-30 minutes to get it back on.
I'll watch this just in case someone has an "easier" way.

Hi Krazybob

When I had my voyager its like Duffy said.. Taken it off was about 3-5 min...Putting it on about 20-30 min... It was a pain... I found out that the more I did it the better I got.
However once I had it on I did not want to take the kit off...I dont think there no easy on off solution... If your bike is light it may be easier.

When I had mine I only removed it a few times, it took A few min to remove and 20 to reinstall oh wait did I forget to mention I had a pit crew almost as big as Jimmy Johnson has ... 4 people . With it off the bottom bracket was still a bother going over speed bumps were dangerous.
