What a great photo!!! Good job!!!!
Fantastic Shot!!!!! To be in the right place at the right time to capture that took some planning.
I took the shuttle program for granted, thinking it would always be there... I am actually sad about this ending
That is a beautiful shot! Thanks for sharing. And it does really bring an end to an amazing era, doesn't it.

I remember seeing similar in the 70's when my father snuck me into McDonnell-Douglas' private area of Lambert Field (he was one of the many engineers working on the heat shield project for them) where it was parked atop its transport 747. I remember being completely awestruck and excited to think that such a bird was not only possible but lived and breathed and would soon leave its perch for both space and history. In success and tragedy it served us and humanity well. May its successors live up to the lofty benchmark it leaves upon our lives and the history of our great nation. It may be physically grounded but its legacy and honor will soar forever.
Thanks much for the pic and the memories.
