one second of stupidity can get you in trouble. i had just pulled out from a friends driveway this morning and got too close to the shoulder of the road my right wheel dropped off the pavement into the weeds and i went into the ditch and my trike wound up on its side. a couple of motorist stopped and helped me get it back upright. the only damage was one broken mirror and to my pride. good thing that the grass and weeds cushioned the fall. maybe the young folks are right that a senior citizen has no business on a bike or even a trike but it is fun going through your second childhood.

I'm so thankful to hear you were unhurt and trike damage was minimal!
Yup.... we've really got to remember where that wide rear end is; you have given us all a timely reminder.

Glad you weren't hurt.+1 what NANA said ,but I have been dealing with a wide rear end most of my life so I guess I am kinda Use to it.RIDE SAFE

I learned on my first ride on the trike that it was wider than the bike, when I took a corner at the gas pump and caught the protector steel pole. licky minor damage, but learned to keep it wide.

my trike is a honda gl500 silver wing with a shop built copy of the voyager kit. the fenders are fabricated from steel and very strong. i would like to have a true trike but i do not have the money for a better trike.
