I just got home from a visit to my dermatologist, who excised a big ol' hunk o' skin cancer from my upper back (not to worry--it's "only" basal cell, not big, bad melanoma), and when he finished, saw fit to caution me: "No strain on those shoulder and back muscles until I see you again in two weeks." Or words to that effect. "And yes," he added, "that includes riding your shiny new trike." I'd been gushing about the trike during the entire procedure. If only I'd known he was going to use that information against me, I never would have shared my good news with him. :groan:

So Goldie's down for a couple of weeks, unless the Chief takes her out for a spin or two--btw, now that his finger's better and HE can ride again, OF COURSE now I can't. Jeez Louise!

I'm so mad I could spit! (But I won't, because I'm not supposed to be cleaning the floors either--I guess that's at least ONE good thing.)

What are we going to do with you and Earl? Are you plotting to see who can require medical care next (about 2-3 weeks from now?) I might draw to your attention that it is SPRING TIME, aka RIDING TIME!!!!!

Not to worry, my doctor told me I couldn't ride my bike for six week after my carpal tunnel operation (both hands) but i rode it to get my stiches out. You should have heard him chew me out. Somethings are just too important to listen to your Doctor.

Juju first off glad U r ok... Now when Jim is finished with ur trike I will come down and take it for a ride or 2... We would not want Earl to get too used to riding it------Especially without his clothes on

Juju, Boy talk about good news/bad news. Sorry about the set back on riding.

Take care of that fair skin, I now have to put on the sun block and the long sleeves, but I still ride. Keep on top of it and you will be okay. Ted

JUJU I can sympathize with you. Last night right after I got home from work I went straight to my Stallion to get more work done. I had to reposition a support beam I had under the trike with it in the air. My right hand did one of its spasms and I dropped the beam on my left hand .

At that time my wife heard the scream and came running knowing the trike had fell on me. I thought at first I just bruised the little finger. But after a few hours the pain felt worse and like it was radiating.

So I had to give into my pride and we were off to the hospital. I broke the little finger in 3 places, the ring finger and the middle was broke in one place and broke two bones in the hand it self.

It is good thing I only type with two fingers or I would be poor shape if I typed properly I would really feel crippled.

But to say the least my mod’s are at a stand still for a few days. Which means the Green Streak will be up in the air unable to ride it since my wife refuse to lower it so I and ride till I can get back to work on it. She thinks she would drop it for some strange reason.

So I feel for ya..

Ben, that is terrible!!!!! In a few days you will be able to (with a friend's help) get the Stallion lowered and be out on the road again. But meanwhile.... you certainly have our sympathies.

Hmmmm. Maybe you should make a deal to support Juju and both of you stay off the roads for the full two weeks to allow things to heal! Frustrating as that is for both of you, I know!

Juju, that's a shame you cannot ride.... If I was closer I would assist in excersisingyour trike. It will not take too kindly to being left alone and the Chief may have to start her up and take her out.

As I sit here with my foot up on a pillow. I will not be walking for a few days. I just had surgery on my ankle.

Woe is me, woe is everyone on this thread! But that is OK, I waxed it before I went in for surgery. Bella almost took it out for a ride yesterday.

I hope to be back in one of the seats by our TT rally.

LOL yea sounds like we are such a fine group in MANY ways. They bad thing as the other half pointed out this wasn’t a real good example of my long back ground in safety and as she is current position.

Dave you are so close to the truth lol I will have to remember that for the future but she knows the BS is still BS. To quota her “I better not go there”.

It’s like the other day she stop in to see if she could help on some of the mod’s and started looking around and made the statement looks like someone has been spending some money.

My answer was yeap it was in last 14 packages she got. She Chuckled and said good point. We sure do spoil our babies. Our spouses only wish they got so much attention lol.

With Angle, JUJU, Mattel and me maybe we should have our own group lol. No it won’t be the over the hill apple dumpling gang!
